Would our record be any different if Max Johnson had stayed? Max and Boutte had a definite chemistry that Daniels does not have with Kayshon. Should Kelly have tried harder to recruit him and his brother to stay with LSU?

As much as posters here don’t want to admit it, I think there’s a good chance LSU would be undefeated

No QB was winning us that game yesterday. Miles, Max, Nuss, no one.

Nah, he’s just as bad, doesn’t read coverage either.

Max Johnson did some idiotic shite, and hasn't exactly lit the world on fire at A&M.

Yes. I think we would have beaten Florida State. I can't say we would have beaten Tennessee, but I'd love to see what kind of team we'd have with a QB would could consistently get the ball into our WRs hands.

He could read better than Daniels, but he couldn’t throw deep either. He would at least try. He just had a noodle arm and had no accuracy or consistency with routes deeper than 20 yards.

We would probably be a little better off passing, but he wouldn’t have 1/4 of Daniels’ rushing yards, so it might just be a wash.

That Tennessee defensive backfield was there for the taking. A good QB (not sure if there is one in hte ones you listed) gives you a punchers chance against that team.

But somehow Nuss is better, even though he couldn't beat out Max last year and couldn't beat out Daniels this year, amirite?

Dunno, we’ve never seen Nuss start a game much less 15 to 35 of em.

Nuss was the one best positioned to expose their issues because he would have attacked them consistently and backed them off up front. Despite his obvious flaws, I don’t think UT would have been able to take full advantage and create several turnovers.

Johnson isn't Kelly's type of QB. Burrow isn't Kelly's type of QB. Kelly's an " Athlete " guy. Look at what he had at ND. None of them set the world on fire and Kelly was constantly in their faces raising hell.

Oline was a mess against FSU just like UCLA when Max made himself a meme

LSU would absolutely be better with Max Johnson at QB. 5-1 at worst
