This was the last time we played them. The weather was terrible, it felt like a tropical storm was passing through at halftime. And Tennessee lost the ball on the kickoff to start the second half because of the strong wind and rain. And I heard 18 Rocky Tops played that day, I was determined to keep count.

We'll probably have better luck with the weather this time, but not so much with Rocky Top, I can't do anything about that.

We were watching pieces of the scoreboard being blown into the crowd.

Then my buddy was almost carried off the side of the stadium by a wind gust.

I was there, too. Campus was dead all day. They were all very resigned to their fate. Pieces of the scoreboard flew off during that storm and hit people. It was cold and rainy.

5/10 gameday experience with 4 points coming from the LSU W

I was a student at UT and vividly remember our drum major being blown off the ladder as our team ran out. Bad result, but overall, one of the more fun games ever.

My dad went to UT, and I went to LSU, so we're on different sides for this one. Fortunately it doesn't happen that often, but we can both agree: frick Bama.

I remember that now but for the life of me I could only remember the crazy storm. I actually missed the kickoff because we were hiding in the concourse. It was my dads first post-surgery game and I knew my mom would kill me if he got sick standing out in the cold and rain.

I have a vague recollection of a very long screen pass for Tenn? But that’s about it.

I was at the game with my brother in law who is a UT grad. We partied all day and were hammered by game time!!! The tailgating from UT fans was lame. I brought the party to UTK with a tv and dj booth set up! Was one of the most fun away games I’ve ever been to. We loved the tropical storm!

Such a weird weekend between the Butch firing and that storm front rolling through. LSU fans took over Calhoun’s On The River.

Pouring water out of my boots at halftime was amusing. The temps dropping 20-30 degrees post-storm and facing imminent hypothermia if we couldn’t snag an Uber was not.

We played them pretty late in the year as I recall, they had already fired Butch Jones by that point.

I was there in 2001 when Kelley Washington, a third string WR put up like 11 catches for 256 yards and 2 TDs. Donte Stallworth was injured and didn’t play in that game.

I went to 2 of the last 3 times we played Tenner. One was the last time in TS, and we all remember that. All I'll say is that Jordan was a great older brother to Justin.

I was then in Knoxville in 2011, and we beat the shite out of them. Good times.

All in all, the "best of times" was when we beat them in 2001, winning the SEC and bursting onto the scene. Lsu football was here to stay!

The weather was beautiful until half time. Then it was a damn tropical storm for like an hour.

Was there with all 4 kids. Was cold rainy and windy. We spent 5 more days in Gatlinburg after the game. Great vacation and memories.

All I remember was it was cold as shite with that wind. everyone in the stadium was trying to huddle in the corridor to wait out the rain so we ended up moving as close to the field as we could while the UTk fans left the stadium. Cleared out moreso than Tiger Stadium in the second half!

Eta stayed in Gatlinburg too. It was 12 degrees the next morning or day after there. Remember our whole deck was iced over in the morning

2007 SEC Championship MVP = QB Ryan Perrilloux

Yes, he was the next man to keep us in the promised land

Les Miles "did the right thing with him" (while fricking cheerleaders or whomever he fricked around with).

I went with my dad, and we stayed in a hotel in Newport, TN. And we were both so glad to get back there, just to get out of the rain. Halftime was the worst, but it continued through the second half, so I actually listened to his suggestion to leave early for once.
