My wife was pissed when she found out how much I paid for tickets until we were sitting high and dry while the folks in the upper deck were getting soaked

I was there too. Good ole Brady Hoke was their interim I believe. I was sitting nice and comfortable under their upper deck as the people in front of us ran for the exits when the monsoon hit. Good times

I was at that game too…that’s definitely one I’ll remember for the rest of my life. I was in the upper deck and that is absolutely the worst weather I have sat through during a game. If I remember right, the goal posts actually blew down during the game. Raining so hard the players couldn’t see the ball. Temp went from comfortable to freezing cold during the course of the game.

I was there as well. It was a cold boring dead campus to tailgate.

Game was a blast, even with the weather. Would definitely go back.

There with my three boys. Only SEC game we’ve ever gotten to see all together. The Vandy game in Nashville was put on a weather delay and as the second half was supposed to get started the refs asked Orgeron and Hoke if they wanted to play or delay. Both coaches basically said F it, play ball. Absolutely the craziest weather I’ve ever seen at a football game.

Was there. Left the game early due to the weather, it was a blowout anyway tenn wasn’t very good that year. Found a country bar downtown called Wagon Wheel after and had a hell of a time. I do agree, Rocky top is the worst. Even worse than the cowbells in Starkville. They played the shite out of it in every bar

Then the next day our flight out wasn’t until 5pm so we watched the whole saints-redskins game at a bar downtown in which the saints had a crazy comeback win. Good times

I was there with two buddies. Drove up and stayed in Nashville for a night then Knoxville for two. Had a great time. Etling’s keeper fooled the entire stadium. Monsoon was wild. Good times!

Side note: Etling threw for 81 yards and we won 30–10

Rocky Top is one of the greatest songs, notably as a unique marker of a region or school. Maybe it's the rural American Irish in me that feels that way.

We were seated at the game for 5 minutes and then had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. My 2 sons and I watched the game from the emergency room. When the doctor told me that I dehydrated, I told him that’s impossible I have been drinking Crown and water all day.

Game was coached by Brady Hoke & Ed O, 2 of the dumbest coaches to shite between two shoes.

My wife and I were in Baton Rouge for a game the previous weekend. Then we used the whole week to drive to Knoxville…..drove the Natchez Trace, stayed in Nashville a couple of nights, a cabin in Chattanooga a couple of nights, and then Knoxville.

Then the weather forecast didn’t look good…..so the wife stayed in the hotel while I went to the game by myself. Like everyone is saying…..the tropical storm that hit during halftime was intense!

I was there that day also. Luckily right under the over hang in the lower level. I didn't get soaked

That game was interesting to say the least.

BY FAR the crappiest weather I've ever witnessed at a football game in my life. Rained hard and was cold as hell.

<——- was there

Stayed in Nashville for the weekend. Had a blast.
I have some video of halftime and right before the second half kickoff.
The rain was literally coming in sideways. The corridors were no relief from the rain since it was coming in sideways.

Witnessed this. It was a shite show. The parking garage next the stadium is a shite show. Tenn whole tailgating was a shite show.

LSU took over the river side that day and it was pure insanity over there.

I heard the bartender say there was no more vodka at around 2pm

I was at Calhoun’s as well. Felt like an LSU bar, no doubt. Outnumbered TN fans 10-1 easy. Great memories of that weekend!

The weather was terrible, it felt like a tropical storm was passing through at halftime. And Tennessee lost the ball on the kickoff to start the second half because of the strong wind and rain.

A friend in ATL had UT season tix and I went to multiple LSU/UT games with him over 25 years, that was the last one. Had some great storm/rain pics, that was a crazy game.

I was at the LSU -Tennessee game in Knoxville in ‘93, 01, & ‘06. We won 1 of them. Crappy stadium, crappy parking, nice people. Missed the ‘17 one. They seem to always luck out against us. Especially in Tiger stadium ‘82, ‘89, & ‘05. And yes I had to check the dates but I was there…
