A note of thanks on prayers for my father

Two weeks ago, this forum poured out prayers for my father in his illness. While it looked for a day or two that he was getting better, ultimately, his poor body was just too worn out with multiple issues, and he passed today. I want to thank each and every one of you that chimed in, and I'm convinced your prayers made a difference and at least gave us a little more time with him.
Thank you all. It's deeply appreciated.

The pain of loss will be tough. It will hit you at the oddest of times, but don't push it down or close it off. Grieve because it is what is healthy for you. Grieve because you miss him, and know that it is okay.
One day that grief won't hold the same sting, not because it has faded, but because it has been replaced and overshadowed by his memory, the stories, the laughs, and the love. That's his legacy, not his final days.
Be there for your family and let them be there for you. My condolences, I know how you're feeling at this moment.

My condolences. I will say one for the repose of your Dad's soul and one for you and your family that you will be comforted and given strength in this time.
God Bless.

Man, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. A lot of us have experienced the loss of our dads and it is not an easy thing to go through. All I can say at this point is that I hope you have as many pleasant memories of your dad as I do of mine.
You and your dad will be in my prayers tonight.

May you and your family feel the warmth of the Lord's embrace and take comfort knowing your Father is free from discomfort and in God's everlasting peace and presence.

Sorry for your loss. My brothers and I lost our dad last year after several years of fighting complications due to a stroke he had in the hospital following a knee replacement a few years prior.

Sorry for your loss. Mine passed 13 years ago, sadly it’s something you never really get over but you will get better at dealing with it. It’s kinda weird the things that will trigger memories hearing “Sitting on the dock of the bay” in some random place still makes me tear up sometimes and “Live forever” by Billy Jo Shaver makes me smile knowing he will live forever in the lives of everyone that knew him.
