i don't understand why, they took down the racist statues that were holding back the black society.

LOL, you are proving his point.

Expanding
The Female Black mayor say this about NOLA Crime and Murder Rate.
quote:
Despite leading the nation in homicides per capita, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says the national designation of “murder capital” doesn’t sit right with her.
“I don’t embrace it at all. The data that is used is on government terms for that, and not based on what is actually happening,” says Mayor Cantrell.
But LSU says:
quote:
LSU Health Criminologist Peter Scharf says it’s counter-productive to deny the crime data.
“I have tremendous respect for the Mayor, but if we can’t agree on the numbers, how are we going to fix anything,” says Scharf. “We’ve got to face what the facts are.”
I wonder what Mr. Temple's View of the Saints Protesting the Cops was? Anybody know?

"Blacks" do care about life. A certain sub-section of people who happen to be black don't seem to. No need to group everyone in there. That may not have been what you meant
97% of the people in Scotland ville, 9th, etc are good people.
They're just poor.
The 3% cause 100% of the violent crime. And the honest people there want them gone, too. That's why all the polls said the poor, black areas all wanted MORE police. . .even during the Summer of 2020.

I think it was pretty clear he was talking about the subset of black people that commit most of the violent crimes. But some would rather be offended than use context clues like a normal person.

I think he lost one of the kids he coaches this summer and that hit him pretty hard.
It sort of reminds me of the head coach at Edna Karr, but instead of taking advantage of the multiple opportunities he had to go off and make a lot more money, he stays at Edna Karr because he feels like he has to try to save as many kids as possible by helping them use any ounce of talent to get them the frick out of New Orleans.
There is a book about him I read. Between the shite he deals with and the environment those kids come from, what he does is pretty frick impressive.
He is dealing with kids who have to live by themselves because their mother is in jail, who was 8 or 9 when he watched his older cousin get killed at the park, in the middle of the day, over a dollar from a dice game. He seriously has to completely re-wire the way these kids think.
But I have to think at some point he will reach a breaking point. I'm sure what Jubilee does.. You can only take so much. You build relationships with these kids, but at the end of the day they still have to go back to the environment they live in and you can only deal with so much loss. 39 is a lot. I have to imagine he doesn't get a lot of sleep.

Right, but there was a popular song actually called "Monkey on a Stick" around the same time.

From that article, the Mayor reminds me of RogerShrubbery or whatever that poster's name is and a few others who were arguing the same that per capita didn't matter, and it was pretty darn funny.

No sir, it was not clear and there were no context clues when he made the statement (he even acknowledged he wasnt clear). But he cleared it up and I agree with him. Thanks for your opinion though. I think we agree on the bigger issue.

When blacks realize they’ve been had by liberal democrats and transferred their slave ownership from Southern plantation owners to Democrat politicians we can make progress.
If Black leaders would ever start speaking out on the fact that the Democrats want these crime ridden shitholes, they want blacks to have no future, etc.
Proof, with blacks made permanent second class citizens in these shitholes by the Dems, they still vote 90% for their masters.
The Dems thought they could do the same thing to Hispanics.
I was waiting for a second term Trump to start speaking the truth, bluntly and honestly.
