Every bit of news I read is bad and threads on here say the sky is falling. I've been buying like crazy. Tell me why I'm wrong.

I wouldn’t say wrong if you have a long horizon, but I’m damn sure starting to second guess my buys and also start guessing when I just need to cut some losers as I’m down big on a few

You live in a banana republic with a brain dead dictator at the helm. There isn’t an economy we just buy junk from China and put it in boxes and sell it to each other. I’m also assuming you look similar to me which means that the powers that be have marked you for extermination

I’m not saying investing is bad I’m just saying there’s no reason for a rosy outlook

Probably not a bad strategy if you have a few years to wait it out. I think we go lower than this though.

I may buy some this afternoon is it continues down. Small percentage though of what I plan to buy total though.

I bought some, but I'm keeping my power dry.

The problems we are facing have a lot to do with politics and bad policies. I expect that is about to change but with some dangerous lame duck action between Nov. and Jan.

Nope. I continue incrementally buying on almost every down day, particularly one like today. I'm in my mid-30's so my time horizon is easily 20+ years. Not even worried.

Some of my buys today: BA, NVDA, and DAL.

I am buying small pieces but keeping large chunks of cash on hand

MSFT
Google
BRKB

Those have been my largest buys.

I picked up very small positions in ITOT and Schwab’s dividend fund

google at these levels should be picked at.

DVN has had a good year but can't see that it wont bounce back to highs with the state of energy right now.

Same amount of money into the same funds, every week, week after week, like always.

I'll concern myself with the details in a couple of decades.

This guy gets it. The only different in our strategies, is aside from plowing money consistently into broader funds, I also like shopping individual stocks. Today has been amazing.

Bought a little more ORGN at $5. If we get an inkling of good inflation news at some point we could see a hell of a rally.

Well I do that too.

And I buy and sell individual stocks in other accounts that I actively manage.

I'm vain about a whole host of my talents and abilities, but I don't believe that I'm so smart that I can manage to outplay, as a part time hobbyist, very smart people who do this for a living 60+ hours a week.

So I don't try to
