I read about that this morning. It was on 75 up near Allen north of Dallas. 71 year old driver with a wife and 5 kids, although I assume grown. Reports are another vehicle hit his truck and sent it over the barrier that was supposedly designed to keep trucks from going over it.

Was that the driver flying out of the cab as it rolled off or part of the truck?

Why such a short video? Should have kept filming or uploaded more.

That truck was traveling at extremely excessive speed. Will like to read and see the final determination. You don’t get a 50-80k pound semi to leave the asphalt without speed.

Hopefully it was quick. Don’t see how that was survivable. Prayers to his family, that’s terrible.

Unreal. Hopefully this sort of tragedy will accelerate the development of driverless big rigs.

An aging fleet of trucks + newby driver hires post pandemic = tragic outcomes. You couldn't pay me enough to drive a semi nowadays.

I actually often think when stopped in traffic underneath an overpass of how shitty it would be for a big rig to come off and land on top of me. Could’ve very easily happened to someone there had there been traffic backed up.
