Didn’t he just get a couple of mentions in Kelly’s press conference?

I don’t like this. Want him getting as comfortable and confident at center as possible for the future

If he’s not at the two deep at center, why not try him somewhere else? Says more about his character that he’s willing to cross train in a position of need.

I'm surprised not to see Tremond Shorts on the depth chart

I dont know that you can take much from this depth chart, Kelly doesnt seem to really care about releasing one to start with much less "following it". Only 8 offensive linemen are even listed

Shorts is overmatched physically from when I’ve keyed on him.

Yup. It was always gonna be a tough transition from such a small school to
the SEC.

This is a message board. People are allowed to share their opinions. None of us are the coach.

Which is why we have all this time to talk about lsu football

I watched shorts against southern and it looked like he had concrete cleats on. Very slow

That was his natural position in HS. He only moved to center because LSU had him try it at a camp and he was sort of a natural there. Fitz is a high character kid and an extremely hard worker. He will give his all wherever the coaches want him to play.

6-2 325. I'm good with him at DT. Maybe BK let him know he wouldn't be competing next year at center and let West make the choice of moving to dt.

I like these somewhat shorter guys at DT. Tall o-linemen seem to have trouble with the shorter stronger guys. The shorter guys certainly have an initial advantage at leverage and they are usually faster. Think Arron Donald. He might be the best DT in the NFL playing at 6' 1" and 285 lbs.

Me as well. I heard there was a dt named Glenn Dorsey or something. 6-2 about 305. Heard he was pretty good !
