Actual landfall gonna be within 10 miles of the initial cone
Shocked you were able to post that first advisory even. Every time I copy an old advisory to share it always updates to the most recent here. Guess you couldve screenshot the first advisory and save that image on a host site to get around that

Was Punta Gorda hurt by Charley?
It was wrecked. Charley was a little 10 mile wide buzz saw.

So Ft Myers landfall?
Seems to be looking that way. My parents house could definitely be a storm surge casualty. They are in the Iona area.
Also learned my cousin and family are going to ride it out in Cape Coral. No idea why. Granted, it looks like storm surge won’t be a problem as far north and west as they are.

Dug out of limestone aka coral. Supposedly never have flooded. Hemingway house on one of the highest point in KW.
My house in Cudjoe Key (23 miles east of KW) has half a foot of water on the property. Having king tides right now so that doesn’t help. 65-70 mph winds. Neighbor is at his house and is hunkering down. Still has power. Hopefully storm keeps moving.

I havent paid attention and just now checked the GFS. They have this thing hovering over FL for like 30+ hours. That's crazy.

Holy shite that eye wall is right on the tip of key west no way they expected that from the last 24 hour projections. Fox News interviewed their mayor this morning she said they were prepared and didn’t give the mandatory evacuation due to projections. Let’s hope she was correct.

That's just a rain band going through Key West. The eye wall is that C shape off to the west
