The job wasn't pretty, but I hope it stops some of the annoying leaks in my boots. Has anybody here ever done this?

I've used stuff that I was told was "guaranteed" to stop leaks...

duct tape worked better than a lot of it...

good luck and let us know how it turns out...

Shoe Goo works very well. I prefer it over silicone.

the tape or paint?

I'd think the tape would work as good as any patch kit.

The paint, which didn't come out like any spray paint I've ever used.

I'm going to test it in my neighbor's swimming pool once the compound cures.

flex seal is one of the few TV products that actually works. I’ve used it as commercial waterproofing in a pinch

This is the roll on paint not the tape

I used flex seal tape on a dry bag once. Inside and out where the leak was. It’s been on there for a few years and it’s still keeping water out.

I used Flex Seal tape on a cracked skylight at one of my rentals. Held up pretty for a while until my roofer guy could go tear them out and put shingles.

Skylights are a pita.

We pulled them out of our camp during Ida repairs. Don't miss them, don't miss the light they provided, and don't miss the strobe effect from the ceiling fans and sunlight.

Aqua Seal works well on waders.

I poked through a brand new Lacrosse boot tripping and falling on a stump within 30 seconds of its maiden voyage. 10 years later the shoe goo patch is still waterproof.

Flex seal on that works better if you can cut a price of vinyl and glue on the inside and out like a sammich.

Would work great then

The stinky arse boat tank glue in the yellow tube with red writing at the autoparts store would work as well

It didn’t work on my waders. Leak was in crotch, used multiple coats, but still leaked

Liquid PVC. PVC stitch is what I use on waders.

I tried to extend the life of some waders with flexseal spray. Leaks were in the ankle area. The area flexes too much. Did not work. Ended up cutting them into thigh boots and use then for weed-eating along the creek-bed and pond.

I have an old pair of Lacrosse neoprene waders that are probably a third Shoe Goo instead of neoprene
