How many reffed the WM Zachary game last year. There’s your minimum.

this team ran reverse pass where the wr threw a pick and the refs huddled up for 5 minutes to call roughing the passer on the defense.

Ok? So what? Nothing you posted is evidence of even negligence let alone being paid off lol just come put on a uniform and come to a meeting. Sounds like you think you’re missing out on easy money if someone’s “paying them off” lol

I am sure it happens and it happens at all levels. But how often it happens is anyone's guess. I have certainly seen some sketchy officiating but I think it is more biases than straight up taking a payoff. I remember my Junior year we were playing at Bogalusa and lost on a late FG where the kicker and holder were reacting is disgust because he had missed like 3 feet wide until the refs signaled it was good.

You see the amount of calls that are missed in the NFL and that includes replay. That’s the best of the best. Who the frick do you think is refing LA High School football games?

thers a difference between missing a call here and there and throwing over 25 flags on one team

They were paid off by Hammond/Amite boosters/alums. Zachary was the only team stopping Ponchatoula that year.

Lol no one is paying off HS officials. Your situation is probably a combination of these 3 things:

A) They may have some biases (officials don’t like a coach or team because of something from the past)

B) There’s a shortage of officials, so when your desperate for anyone you’re going to have some really bad officiating

C) They’re human and make mistakes. I get as frustrated at bad officiating as anyone but without them, we dont have games

Less than 1%.

I’m sorry that volunteers earning $50 to help your kids play a sport aren’t always perfect.

Well I was watching a key early game in Baton Rouge and saw quite a few calls for one team that included a flying through the air helmet to helmet violent hit by a player on the home team. Ref was right there and yet no flag.

Quoting Skip Bertman about umpires applies to refs also.

You can't get mad at the umpires. Listen, they aren't really umpires. They're school bus drivers, and butchers at the local Winn-Dixie."

I do know that whoever covers Notre Dame(Crowley) football on the radio has been crying about the refs everytime they lost to St. Charles Catholic in the playoffs.

refs are assigned by the association and show up to do a game without advance notice to the respective teams. I would say you % is way too high
