Per Culotta, LSU wants Walker Howard to get reps with the 2nd team because of Nuss’s play

He said because of Nuss’s bad decisions last week, LSU was going to talk with Jamie Howard about getting Walker Howard some reps with the 2nd team even though they all agreed for Walker to be redshirted this year. People have said that Walker has the best arm out of all the quarterbacks.

I think that's a very safe assumption from anyone that's not biased and follows CFB religiously

I'd be absolutely fine with Walker getting his 4 bodybag games worth of reps and keeping his redshirt. Let him get his feet wet but don't burn the shirt.

So, the coaching staff went from considering him a potential starter to 3rd string after half of a game? Do y’all really believe the coaches are that irrational?

I would prefer Howard try to keep his RS. It may have been better to let Nuss work through his issues Saturday and not waste one of Howard's 4 games.

Nuss is the kid that doesn't burn redshirts for a bowl game and looks like he did against the likes of Southern

I think if it's a lost season, like multiple losses, then no.
If we are somehow in playoff contention and lose Daniels, it might be worth it to burn his redshirt. Don't think Nuss would help us much in that situation.

If he is going to be as good as people think he will the redshirt won't matter. He won't play for that long before heading to the NFL.

Not all costs no. But it’d have to be a situation where we were on pace to be a top 10 team and Daniels got hurt. A top 10 finish in Brian Kelly’s first year would shut a lot of people up and do wonders for recruiting.
Outside of that I kind of agree. No need to waste a year for him.

Eh, I'm all for getting Howard ready. I fully believe he will lead this program the next two years, and hopefully he's off to the league after.

Yeah this makes no sense. If he went from being quarterback 1B to 3rd string getting basically no game reps after 2 quarters of game time, then I'm more worried about what the coaches have been looking at in practice. Of course Jordy probably didn't get this info from any actual coach, so it's probably not true.
