Nuss may not be any better but JD is not the answer for us at QB.

From first glance, people will look at what JD did and say, he kept us in the game and he did so much with his legs when the line protection broke down. The truth is, there were plenty of open WR’s in that game. So much so that had he thrown the ball to the open receivers, more yards would have been gained vs him running the ball. It’s crazy to watch this game again and see how many guys were wide open. Burrow would have had 500 yards passing had he been playing yesterday. This is JD’s 3rd year playing major college football and he isn’t going to change.

I hope the coaches can see this in film review. He can help this team as a change of pace QB. Bring him in when we need that run threat from the QB position. Nuss needs to get a chance to see if he can get the ball to the playmakers. When LSU get’s into SEC play, with top notch defenses, this will be a glaring weakness in JD’s play.

Daniels was fine. 99 yard TD drive. 3 long TD drives when we went up-tempo.

Daniels is our starter.

Our o-line is Swiss cheese...let's not get nuss killed before we have the means to protect him

This idiot. Both QBs are fine. They just don't have have time to showcase talent because 1 second after the ball is snapped a d lineman is crawling up their arse.

I was off JD at first, but he was solid those last 2 drives. We have many other things to work on first.

He had players open, and apparently according to the Rant you need at least 15 seconds to throw a football

FOR THE LAST TIME, NUSSMIER IS STILL ERRATIC. That is why he isn’t starting.

So JD isn’t the answer because the greatest player in LSU history would have done better?

Maybe the staff knows the O line is “challenged” at this point and needs someone elusive

I agree it’s an issue but I’m not ready to throw the towel in yet on JD.

I do think we are about to play 8 or so defenses who will design stuff to take away his runs and then where will we be? It was a criticism from his past and it’s clearly still true now.

I’m hoping that last drive gave JD a lot of confidence moving forward.

Our OL, RBs, and Wrs need to improve leaps and bounds before SEC play.

After last night I realized that LSU is a major rebuilding job.

IMO in the SEC a running QB adds a great dimension to a good running and passing game but you won’t get far if that’s your primary threat. At all.

This is who he was at AZ St

WR recruits will not come here any longer. Maybe thats why Denbrock leans on TEs so heavily. He cant get quality WR corps to stand around while the QB runs around by himself

Why cant yall just support the players we have out there? The coaches have chosen the best players that give us the best chance to be successful. JD was fine when he settled in the 2nd half when he had time he stood in there and delivered some strong accurate throws. Our OL is a huge problem but they putting out the best we have, they just arent good enough. We need to restock. This will not be an instant fix.

I believe this staff will improve our team from week to week but we just maybe lacking in studs in key positions at the moment.
