that's called holistic admission. not really that impressive
Can someone accurately provide what this amounts to? How many students at LSU have been admitted in this manner?

LSU President F. King Alexander wrote Commissioner for Higher Education Kim Hunter Reed that 7.5 percent of the freshman students who entered LSU last month scored lower on college board tests and had lower grades than the minimum admission standards set by the Board of Regents.

So basically in its first year it was 400+ students admitted through this but the rules only allowed for 4% not the 7.5% so it should have been only 200 something admitted.

This was back in 2018 I believe so I don’t know the total number.

Thanks. I wonder what the grad rate was for those in 2018.

The further you get from campus the nicer the apartments actually are. The stuff closest to campus, even the nice new complexes are shitholes. I'd go as far as Starring/Burbank to find a nice place that you can stand for 4-5-6 years.

Who is telling the non-students to not venture further south than Roosevelt??

Anyway when the Honors Dorm has a fight Aaron Donald would be hesitant to jump in even with the extra helmets and had an armed robbery and shooting outside the same dorm the week before I am not sure it’s as easy as it used to be to stay safe at LSU or BR by just choosing to avoid certain areas.

Equity can be accomplished easier by bringing others down to “equitable” levels versus trying to bring up a group that is allowed to self inflict most of its problems and blame others for them.

I used to live north of campus off Nicholson and it is definitely not safe. I finally moved three years ago after a drive by.

If I was sending a kid to any school, my number 1 fear would be accidentally taking Fentanyl

Not all the schools dorms are on Broadway.

You’re confusing the Frat and Sorority houses on Broadway.

Mine are at UGA, LaTech and Bama. ALL say it’s SOOOOO much nicer than living & going to school at LSU.

This state & city have a TON to fix - before more kids stay home

Male may be ok, no way in hell would I let my daughter go to LSU, nor did any if my friends. Too many unsolved disappearances, and when I was at LSU there were active serial killers and it was way safer

Hello fellow 94 graduate. 4 years of losing seasons and I still had the time of my life. My son is a sophomore and he’s loving it too. I worry about his safety but I am happy he’s keeping up the tradition. Geaux Tigers!

No I'm not. I'm very familiar with the area having lived near there for 10 years. Broadway has no walls preventing a simple drive onto tulanes campus or a walk down freret onto Loyola's.

Hasn’t the population doubled since the 90s? More people = more incidents
