Shouldn't this be a big concern we look to address going forward?

I hope it implodes. I learned probably 75% of everything I know about business from my current job, not from my business degree or MBA.

Yes, universities need to have skin in the game when it comes to student loans.

We'll do this again the next time there is a Dem president. The idiots in college won't have learned a damn thing and will be crying for their free money. Hopefully, it will be a few 100 years from 2024. But it will happen.

And the schools will never be held accountable as well.

Diploma Mills have turned out a ton of ‘Social Degrees’ which were/are intended to be Government hires. IRL production they are worthless. Toward “fundamental change “ it’s solid strategy.

No.

It’s a reality and our educational system has been fricking up peoples lives for decades.

Peter Thiel…..a brilliant man and one of the richest men on the planet

Says “most” people shouldn’t go to college instead focus on starting their own businesses.

Wait.

You got an undergrad business degree AND an MBA?

Were you just not paying attention the first time around?

Do it again? This is going to morph into a $10 and $20K entitlement for higher education for every kid in the US from this point forward.

You forgave Johnny's debt, why not mine?

And the cost of a college education just went up by $10K.

Trade schools are a more practical path for many. Cost less, and hit the workforce quicker and with less debt.

If the government wasn’t supplying loans we would not be having this discussion.

Everything the government touches turns to shite.

It’s just that simple.

We’ve lied to a generation about college.

Lie 1. You can’t have a good career without a degree.

Lie 2. Any degree is better than no degree.

Lie 3. A federally subsidized student loan system will make college achievable for anyone.

I don’t have a business degree or an MBA but I know enough to recognize that you’re ignorant or trolling.

This day and age, you can make a great living with a specific trade....as long as you can pass drug tests.

College is way overrated for lots of people.

Well, I do have an MBA, and it’s generally just a boiled down version of a BBA, albeit with generally the better professors and with students who have real world experience.

The curriculum itself is not much different.

The Grifters started pushing the college degree BS in the 90’s when the off shoring of US manufacturing really took off.

If you ain’t going to college for one of the preceding subjects, you probably don’t need to be in college.

You nailed it. The problem is the lack of value in what the kids/parents are buying.

Indeed. It's clearly not an "investment". And since were talking about student loan "forgiveness"... we "forgive" mistakes. So clearly student loans must be a huge mistake we're looking to "forgive".
