You must have been thrilled with Freeman vs OkSt

Looks like Kelly finally did.

LSU is a better program than Notre Dame in 2022. That he didn’t win a national title there doesn’t mean anything in terms of what he’ll do here. It’s not a slam dunk but if Ed Orgeron and Les Miles can do it here there’s no reason Brian Kelly can’t.

Never really thought about it until he mentioned ND's rivalries with Mich St and Michigan, but were they mad when Saban and Miles came from those two schools (yes I know, Ok State, but we know Les' background) to LSU and won Nattys while they were floundering?

BK has assembled a good staff and recruited very well in spite of the fact that LSU had a lame duck staff for the last 7 games of the year. BK worked the Portal and filled major gaps in the Roster so LSU can be competitive this year.

Now this season BK has LSU in the Top 5 in recruiting and has plenty of scholarships to go. So as far as doing his job up to this point he gets an A. There is more to being a Head Coach than just on field but his track record in that department is pretty good as well. So there’s that.

Sparty fans were big mad.

Oklahoma State fans were more disappointed.

Book should have never even started at ND.

Has the most wins in ND's entire history.

Notre Dame is 30-3 in games started by Book, a record that doesn't include the bowl game against LSU in 2017, when the Irish signal caller came off the bench to rally the Irish to victory.

So he also won that game for them.

How can you say he shouldn't have started when he won so much? Whatever you say man.

This is no different than the hate LSU fans have for Nick Saban. You’re pretty much throwing stones in a glass house.

I think there is a big difference here. ND fans are calling BK garbage and that he is incapable of winning and discrediting what he did there. LSU fans have a hatred for Saban because he eventually went to one of our biggest rivals and most LSU fans knew when he took the Bama job we were fricked! Fans knew he would do what he is doing and we would be on the wrong side of it and we were mad. I don't think any LSU fan mocked Bama and said they got a bad coach that we are glad we don't have anymore.

What a frickin neckbeard

"Brian Kelly sucked"

Next question.. Why is ND #5?

"Talent. Recent success. 54-10 in the last 5 years. Only 5 teams have done that."

That is the part that is tough for the ND fans to accept. What Kelly said without saying by leaving is that he felt he could never win a National Championship at ND and he had an opportunity to go to a place where recent history has proven he could. I'm sure ND fans are looking at it the same way LSU fans looked at the program when Les was fired. LSU fans thought Les was a good coach, who won, a lot, but was incapable of getting LSU over the hump to win another championship. ND fans are hopeful that Freeman can get them over the hump. The difference is that Kelly's tenure at ND was the exception, not the rule, for much of the period from 1995 to today. ND had not done much during that time with any HC besides Kelly, whereas Kelly now comes to the ONLY program in America that has had three separate HC's win championships in the last 20+ years. That's not to say Freeman won't be great at ND, nor that Kelly won't bust at LSU. But if history is any indicator of future results it is a MUCH more certain bet Kelly wins a championship at LSU vs. ND winning one with Freeman.

This!

So whenever it is that LSU wins it’s next title, I have a shite idea. Thanks Notre Dame with Kelly holding the Trophy. The back saying he took LSU as far as they can go!

Wrong.

Saban didn’t leave LSU for Bama.

BK did leave ND for LSU.

Hating Saban makes no sense to me.

LSU beat Bama in 2019 in Tuscaloosa. He must have forgotten those 3 Games. Once again, BK left ND to try winning not just participating.

He also mentioned Clemson in that group which we beat as well

“He's arguing that BK won't succeed here because he's not Southern enough? Nick Saban and Les Miles say hello douche bag. What a butthurt babyback bitch.”
In fact, since Dietzel, who was from the midwest, was hired, only two LSU head coaches have been from Louisiana, Stovall and Orgeron. The only other Southerner who has coached at LSU since at
least before Dietzel, was McClendon who was a native of Arkansas.

LSU fans, on the other hand, are pissed at Saban even though he didn't leave for another college HC job, AND even though LSU's HC job wasn't even available when he came back to the college game

He's in our Division, coaching a rival & team that directly hinders our chances yearly to win the SECW.

It's just different, my boy
