Geez
Never seen it like this before in August
At least a TS or hurricane come in goes in matter of a day or two
It’s been 7 plus days with no end in sight
Crops in Louisiana are pretty much ruined at this point.

Here in the central Mississippi area, we will hit 48 hours straight this afternoon. Crazy

It’s been raining so much, I saw a frog waving a white flag this morning

In S LA we've gotten rain almost every day for 2 months. I bet we haven't had 5 dry days since the beginning of July. It's probably been the mildest August I can remember because of it though

In Central Mississippi as well, and it’s beyond ridiculous. What’s causing all of this?

So does this mean the drought from global warming has ended???

Sugar cane looks fine to me. Not sure about the soy beans.

It's been raining in BR non-stop since June.

Barely got the yard mowed a couple of weeks ago without getting stuck. Caught a few days when it didn't rain as much and got it done. After these past 24 hours, I don't know when I'll be able to get back out there.
We have hay fields that have been due to cut since July 1, but there hasn't been any stretch of 3-4 consecutive days without rain. Or even 3-4 non-consecutive days.

There's some areas of the state that have been really wet over the last 2 to 3 months, but there is an incredible amount of hyperbole in this thread.
Most of the state was in an extended drought until mid to late July, and I would hazard to guess that most of southwest Louisiana is still well below average rainfall for the year.
Where I'm at in St. Landry we are about 16 inches below where we should be at this point in the year.
Maybe in some areas, but most of the state is likely going to be fine. North Louisiana is probably in the worst shape concerning excessive rainfall.
If this keeps up for the next 3 months, sugarcane harvest is going to be a mess.

I haven’t seen 2 consecutive days of sunshine since June. The last two months have been rain every single day. It’s depressing. You can’t do a damn thing.

The ground was starting to crack in SWLA back in June compared to last year where it rained every day for the entire month of June. I put tractor towers on my mower so I could cut the grass. Oh and Lake Charles had that historic flood on May 17, 2021.
Sounds to me like mother nature is just playing catch up.

Exactly. For a good chunk of the state, this rain has only come over the last month and a half and was very much needed.
The central/eastern Florida Parishes and north Louisiana were the exception.
