Where? Show me a station that has recorded rainfall for all but 5 days since July 28.

FarmLogs /climate view/ case IH AFS / weather station on our dryer / weather station at my kids school/ weather station at 2 flying services - one 10 and one 20 miles from me/ the fact that rice was sprouting on heads from Ville Platte to Thornwell

You’re a typical dipshit that kind of works in ag that thinks he knows farming and agriculture but doesn’t know jack shite [

quote]shite, I'm surprised they weren't dying of thirst...now they are rotting? LA Farm Bureau News just had an article yesterday about how the moisture has sparked a "revival" of cotton in Louisiana. LSU's cotton specialist said the harvest forecast was "solid". That article was from 2 days
ago[/quote]

Lol farm bureau. You think that was filmed in the last week ?

I guess multiple farmers in north LA are lying, multiple crop consultants from all over North LA posting pics of beans sprouting in pods and cotton dropping bolls and rotting are lying also

June into early July was dry and hot here in St. Tammany. Last year every day in June it would start raining at 11:30 and last all day.

I wasn't referring just to you, dipshit. And I doubt it ends up being the "second rainiest" for "most in South Louisiana".

I think the farm guy must be thing through crop losses or something. He's irrationally angry in the weather threads.

I bet it’s close if you look at August with no tropical systems

I love you, too, baw!

Thanks for all those downvotes. And I'm still right.....it hasn't rained every day and this isn't the wettest Summer ever in the history of ever. Just like it wasn't the hottest June ever in the history of ever. People will still yell it from the rooftops, though, no matter how many times they're proven wrong. And they will still bitch when it is hot and then bitch when it rains. And then bitch when it is cloudy. And then bitch when the sun comes out.

Hell, it wasn't long ago that some of you were "Dreading August and September" if "June is this hot". Yet, when I pointed out that June temps historically have frick all to do with the rest of Summer being hot, it was shite on.

Yet, here we are....people bitching about a cool and rainy August.

Better than playing a bitch with hurt feelings which is all you've done for the past month.

Nah. You just chime in with all the rest of em to cry over all the "unprecedented" weather.

You didn't call shite. You guessed. You went against every single bit of guidance, but for the Euro (which STILL overshot it) and said, "Nuh uh! It gone flood!". That's a guess no matter how you want to spin it.

Then, you came around and kept patting yourself on the back like you made some wonderful forecast and wouldn't shut the hell up about it.

And now your feelings are hurt and you're downvoting every post made by the people you don't like.

People are going to have to start drawing their own conclusions that something -- actually a LOT -- isn't right

Actually the simplest, yet the most logical explanation for totally screwed up weather is the hackneyed phrase "manmade global warming", as a result of decades of infusing gaseous carbon compounds into the air. That certainly is more logical than some of the Coast-to-Coast/ Ground Zero tin hat conspiracies aloft.

its rained here on the gulf coast everyday for a least the past month. this past week or so has been ridiculous though.

today it rained all day. tomorrow 100% chance of storms. 1-2" predicted

if it continues wont have to worry about cutting grass anymore as I'll have nothing but submerged aquatic vegetation on my property.

should be pretty good fishing off the side porch

The book is a fantastic read. The author gives a lot of detail on the battle between two lines of thought. One to levee the river and the other to build reservoirs to hold the flood water.
