This boards obsession with hoping EV's fail is weird. I have no interest in an EV at this point, but I also couldn't care less what my vehicle uses for energy as long as it gets me where I want to go.

People having the option of an EV is fine.

Trying to mandate EVs is fricking stupid because it does NOT work out well for day to day American life unless you live in one of a few huge cities.

We are real time living through another mass delusion with these vehicles and I admit it bothers me.

Long term no one wants it to fail. The point is we know and they know we are not ready for this. But they don't care, they want it now and that is going to cost all of us a lot of money and that pisses people off.

I can’t believe I’m agreeing with Mingo on something.

Wild to see how many oil and gas baws are suddenly tree huggers when it comes to the amount of energy electric cars use and the process to build the batteries.

Nah, people are just tired of being told that, not only are these cars ready to take over right now, but it's a moral imperative to do so. Hell, Korkstand will still tell us that our current grid can handle a majority EV fleet while we have rolling blackouts/brownouts in major metro areas when it hits 95 degrees.

I posted a thread about the automotive equivalent to an OT 9 last week and the regular pussies STILL couldn't stop talking about EVs in that thread.

These dudes probably complain about trannies and gays in babe threads too.

The post immediately before your rather stupid statement!

Again, that's why forcing electric down people's throats before legit progress is made in technology is really dumb.

We don’t wish they fail a-hole. They aren’t saving anything. To get the batteries you have to mine the lithium and nickel which pays Russia and China since our tree hugging dipshits in DC won’t let’s us do that in the States. Then you pay out the arse for a vehicle that get you 300 miles before you need to charge it 6 to 8 hours. Lastly that electricity isn’t coming from nuclear. It may partially come from oh so inefficient solar or wind but more likely comes from coal! So all this pushing EVs is glorified virtue signaling that only a fricking moron can get behind!
