Here is a good piece by Robert Malone on emerging concerns on paxlovid, that it may actually create new resistant variants.

Malone Substack LINK

quote:

SARS-CoV-2 (the cause of COVID-19) is an RNA virus, just like HIV is an RNA virus. RNA viruses evolve very rapidly and have a lot of genetic mutations. And just like HIV, the COVID-19 virus evolves so quickly that it evolves right out from under single “mechanism of action” (single agent) drug therapy. When a patient begins taking Paxlovid, it appears that the drug keeps many of the viruses from reproducing. Because some of the new mutations happen to have a certain level of resistance to the drug, some viruses do survive. Because of COVID-19’s speedy evolution, the virus responds to selection pressures quickly. So, viruses that happen to survive the drug are favored and then resistant virus strains evolve within the patient. When a patient is immunosuppressed and doesn’t clear the virus (as seems to be happening with Paxlovid), then this evolution has a longer runway to evolve before the virus is cleared by the body. These new strains are then spread through out the population. So, other people can contract the escape mutant resistant lineage. A new variant is born.

I support people taking whatever precautions they think they need to.

But it's always been odd to me that for a board that is strongly against the MRNA vaccines and regularly downplays COVID, half our posters go on some detailed cocktail that involves Ivermectin to combat an illness most people just treat like a cold.

Ivermectin has been in use for 50 years and people have varying symptoms: Some very mild, some severe.

Paxlovid might suck, but your opinion, uneducated and based as it is on a data set of two, is not creditable.

I am 70 with HBP, take an ACE Inhibitor and probably pre-diabetic. My go to was always going to the monoclonal antibodies but when Paxlovid was made available for those over 65 or serious co-morbidities, when I got it I already knew I would insist on the Pavlovid. My fever peaked at 104 on the evening of my second dose of antiviral. I honestly don't know which way it would have gone without it. Maybe the same. Who knows. Either this strain is self limited to 48 hours or so or maybe the antiviral did. Yet, I get downvoted and will on this one because of all of the young, healthy "true bloods". My body, my choice as the cheer goes. I would never try to persuade someone to take it but I would not try to dissuade it either. Folks should make these choices in consultation with their trusted doctor. If you can't trust your doctor then you probably have the wrong doctor.

Why even worry about what medicines work? I didn’t take shite other than an aspirin for pain relief and I was fine in a couple days. Just enjoy your days off

You literally took a medicine to help with your symptoms.

And that's why you're not supposed to stop taking it once you begin.

This shite right here, wonder why there are so many variants? Same thing happened with the vaccines, there was an all out assault on the pure bloods by the sheep. Don't think Fauci and company didn't know this was going to happen.

Keep an eye on your Wife’s heart function/rhythms. My Wife (unvaccinated/80) got CV and it affected her heart rhythms. Now on Beta Blockers and Blood Thinner. Don’t know yet if this permanent or temporary. Good luck God speed.

You guys calling it a cold are off base.

My neighbors got it and one recovered in three days. Other one got knocked out for two weeks.

Best friends got it and one recoverd in a day, the other took two weeks.

My wife and I got it (Non Vaxxed). Kicked my butt. I took ivermectin paste and it still knocked me down with high fever and cough that would not quit. No energy or appetite. Two-three week recovery.

We're all sixty plus.

Three cheers for Ivermectin... let the progressives take that Pfizer BS drug that is paying checks to the CDC

The third world nations in Africa have been taking monthly Ivermectin for filarial disease and their populations have had the world's lowest Covid infection rates...

Still in doubt look at the map of world's continents with lowest infection rates and you be convinced.

Paxlovid sucks. When it came out it had a ton of contraindications and use cautiously withs.

Those seem to have gone away. Why? I don’t know.

The taste thing is common. Makes most unable to tolerate it.

My advice, look into why covid doesn't exist and why the tests are meaningless.

Covid is like a "cult", people like to talk about it, it gives them a feeling of being in the conversation, part of the group. The word "flu" and its many variations, have disappeared from our vocabulary, its more interesting to have Covid. And "big Pharma" can make a lot more money.
If what you describe is Covid, then I've had it for 50 years, go take your meds.

Technically it's not free because the government is paying $500 per pill for you to take that shite. Your tax dollars hard at work.

If you take anything the government recommends related to Covid, then you're an idiot.
