My wife and I are not vax'd. I got Omicron back in Jan/Feb. Put me on the couch for a couple days with some fever and congestion but after a few days I was upright. Really no big deal.

I got it again last week. Totally different feeling and different symptoms. The first symptom was a little cough, thought it was a cold. Got worse 2nd and 3rd day and a bad headache. Never had fever. The 2nd day, I started takinging, zinc, C, NAC, quercetin, hydroxychloriquine (only for 2 days). I was back to normal on day 4, just had a productive cough and tested neg on the 5th day.

My wife got it, I put her on some Ivermectin pills I had. She had worse congestion than I did. She called her Dr a few days later and gave her Paxlovid. That gave her a terrible taste in her mouth, lost her smell and taste, and spiked her blood pressure to where she couldn't sleep a wink that night. The next morning I took her off it and got her back on Ivermectin. Her BP dropped to normal and she gained her taste and smell back that afternoon. Then 2 days later she tested neg and was back to normal the next day.

My advice, stay away from Paxlovid. It is experimental and is free....so that should tell you something. The only reason I tried it was that she wanted to see if it would help because she wasn't improving for a couple days and rolled the dice.

Mixed reviews from the two people I know that have taken it. My bro-in-law loved it. He felt it really helped him out. One of our older employees took it. She got bad bruises all over her legs from it. It looked like someone beat her with a bat. It was bad.

OK. But what are your credentials? I took it and felt normal after 48 hours. I did experience the metallic taste in my mouth but that is the only side effect I experienced. Paxlovid has many drug interactions but my advice would be discuss with your care giver. I had already researched it and took it due to my age and comorbidities. The doctor I saw was just going to send me home with a piece of paper that told me when I could be around other people. I told her I wanted the antiviral and she said I will check your drug profile and see if you can take it. I could, I did and I got better (as in felt normal) in 48 hours.

What, precisely, is Paxlovid intended to do - what symptoms does it target?

I’m just getting over what i call the flu.

Never been tested, much less jabbed.

Took NyQuil and DayQuil like I have any time I have gotten the cold or flu.

Better now.

People get sick, always have, always will, our bodies were made to heal itself.

Just take Tylenol and hydrate until your fever goes away. It’s a bad cold. I’ve had it 3 times. Pureblood.

Technically it's not free because the government is paying $500 per pill for you to take that shite. Your tax dollars hard at work.

Here's a very good video comparing Ivermectin with Pfizermectin. Paxlovid is crap. There's no reason for it to administered over Ivermectin or HCQ for that matter.

I’m on my last dose today of paxlovid. It does make my mouth taste funny but other than that I’ve had no issues with it. Definitely helped get rid of headache, temp, chills etc. just have little congestion

It's actually $530 for a 5 day course, but your premise remains. It's certainly not free. But no direct cost to the patient.

If you do nothing you only have a 99.999% chance of survival. Is that a risk you are willing to take?

I had it just over a month ago....Ivermectin paste and totally fine after 48 hrs....no dramatic symptoms. Buddy of mine had it same time and he took paxlovid (age and diabetic). Knocked it out pretty quickly BUT....he's still not back to normal and suffering from cough and he also had the rebound covid. That stuff (paxlovid) is bad news.

It's a combination of strong antivirals.

The real issue is sometimes it knocks back covid enough that people think they're clear and when they stop it comes back (although usually just for a day or two)

Unfortunately in today's highly politicized world of medicine some Dr's credentials are not necessarily Indicative of good medical treatment.

Horse paste works... Tennessee sells the pills over the counter. I understand that you can also get them through the net sent to you.

Why even worry about what medicines work? I didn’t take shite other than an aspirin for pain relief and I was fine in a couple days. Just enjoy your days off

Not vaxxed. I got Covid once in 2020. I get sick about once every five years. The only reason I knew was because I had to take a flight to my nephews wedding in Arkansas, so I got tested at LabCorp so I could fly. Mine was not anything worse than a cold but I had terrible shits. I cut back on exercising and ate less. That's about it.

Sounds like you and your wife are on the mend. Best wishes on everything and glad you both are recovering.
