After an assistant manager got stabbed, federal regulators have fined the owner of Baton Rouge B-Quik gas stations and Benny's car washes $17,403, saying the businesses didn't do enough to protect employees from violence.
Clown world strikes again
The best protection will be to straight up shut down business.

Mind you, the same government says mental patients with severe disorders have the right to not take medicine and nothing can be done about it until the hurt someone. The same government would call a refusal to serve such areas redlining. The same government would go after the store if they employed security measures commensurate with the “high crime area” they describe. The same government would take issue with calling said location a “high crime area”.

Just for the record, this happened on Greenwell Springs rd, near Joor. Very much north Batun Rudge.
Not Greenwell Springs/Central. On a side note I know the guy that got stabbed. He’s a nice guy, and was a very hard worker. I stop in there a lot on my way into work.

Wishing him a speedy and full recovery! Fcking sucks that some piece of crap did that to the guy.
Wish the firefighter had been able to do SOMETHING.
Was the ‘firefighter’ really just the desk clerk or something?

creating written safety plans
In this case I'd say a written plan would only be helpful it was 100 pages thick and in the way of the knife

Can OSHA fine the entire City of New Orleans?

The thief robbed the wrong place. This B-Quik is right next door to a Benny's Car Wash that practically prints money. The brothas and sistuhs in the Park Forest area wash their cars like no other group or people I've seen. However, no one hand washes or cleans their own. They all flock to Benny's so the machines will do it for them.
If EBT cards are accepted for car washes, maybe there wouldn't be enough cash to risk it. But if the majority of customers use cash, a successful heist would be huge.

Wait you are for the government to force people to take medication?
Let me guess you were against mUh JaB mandates though?
No way I want the government deciding who needs meds

They’ll just sell it to their cousin and move on. No big deal..

What safety protocols does your prison work release have in place?
Posted on 8/16/22 at 5:25 pm to SPEEDY
Written safety plans were the bane of my existence when I was in the corporate world. It is not that I didn't want my people working safe, it was that the safety plans corporate pushed down were utter bullshite that didn't keep anyone safe except the lawyers checkbooks.

I have litigated against OSHA twice (2-0 record). Their attorneys are underpaid and lazy. You should always resist their citations since your employee will try to use any violation as proof of civil negligence in their own damages suit.
Not legal advice, Geaux Tigers.

This is the only solution but the left has already claimed it's racist.

Confirmed. I go through this wash at least once a week. Asked the attendant a ballpark estimate of how many cars they wash in a day and he said he was sworn to secrecy. He went on to say it was the busiest in the state of Louisiana by a long shot.

Guess it’s good he chose to fight fires instead of crime

“Gas station deserts” due to systemic racism.

99% of the public doesn't realize that OSHA is not a problem, largely the fines are petty cash. The entity that will bring you to your knees is your insurer. If they pay out a few of these claims, you are not going to be able to afford to stay in business.
