Looking for something to EDC for a nephew who started working nights. Thinking of something to fit in his pocket.

Wondering if rechargeable is better than traditional. What ya got?

What's he looking to do with it? Use it occasionally for small/quick tasks or is it going to be a regular usage light?

I have a several Olight I5R lights that are nice. Carry one all the time. Fits well in the pocket and the clip works on a hat brim. I’d definitely go with rechargeable with whatever brand you get.

~$35 but they have sales all the time.

Was thinking something $35-$50 ish. It's something that I'm sure will get used so if it's a little more I don't mind spending it.

Coast and Streamlight make really good pen lights that use either rechargeable batteries or AAA'S or both.

I carry a stream light that hold just one AAA battery. About the size of a chapstick.

I don't care for rechargeable but I get batteries from work.

I bought ten of these and put them all over my house, truck and wife’s car. .

Not even close to an OLight but still fine.

Working nights on turnaround at the moment. Bought this on Amazon. Around 30$ works good . Rechargeable. Lightweight. Don’t spend too much. It will get stolen or lost.

I’ve had good luck with AA Coast lights. Single battery and vey bright. I would guess their rechargeable is good also.
