Just curious since pre-law doesn’t mean much more than “intending to apply to law school.”

I had 2 worthless undergrad degrees

Political science and English with an emphasis in creative writing

I don’t even think pre-law was available at LSU at the time

I had a very useful undergrad degree. I didn’t realize getting a law degree would effectively blackball me from my industry.

Excellent choice given all the research and writing.

Companies in my former industry see a law degree and thus no longer have any interest in hiring me. They have a skepticism of lawyers on their job sites, assuming that they will either be snitches or organizing law suits against them. Most folks responsible for hiring in that industry see a law degree as a liability more than a resource despite it actually being an indicator of a lot of very very useful skills for doing that job.

That’s actually two very fitting ones.

Business with a minor in Political Science. Just graduated in May and applying next month for law school starting Fall ‘23. Currently working at Firehouse Subs back home until then and getting strange looks from people who knew me in HS when they come in. I never try to explain they can just think I flunked out for now. Plus making sandwiches is kinda fun part-time.

Then go be a lawyer. You snivel worse than anyone here, except maybe for the OP. Always an excuse with you two.

Accounting, after 4 years I decided I did not want to be a CPA so off I went.

Ended up liking it more so that is good.

Was close to a minor in math, but minored in beer instead.
