People need to take back their communities instead of just fleeing when things get bad. It’s the same with people in other countries that “have” to move to America.
Eventually, there will be nowhere left to flee to.

Homeless people camping around that part of BR is a problem, along with the crime that seems to follow them.
I believe the area Airline/I-12/ Sherwood/ O’Neal /Coursey is a known hot spot for drugs & the homeless. I forgot what they call the area.
Eventually someone will get pissed and take the law into their own hands.

it was never my choice to be here in the first place, then jobs not available when everyone agrees it’s time to move and then Covid
It’s time to get out of BR now, if you’re able

I wouldn't feel comfortable for my wife or daughter to walk/jog those alone with nobody else around.
Obviously not blaming the victim. She should be perfectly safe to exercise in a park.
....but....., you realize that feeling of safety is wrong right? You realize a lady got raped there? Hopefully, this opens your eyes.

Did they just publish the story today, presumably after seeing it here?!

Explain how this works in Baton Rouge
Our mayor is an abysmal disaster but got reelected with 60% vote
The people voted in favor of the City of St. George and the courts shut it down.
Short of armed insurrection, what can be done other than move away?

You could go on Nextdoor and bitch about it.

They'll call you a racist and xenophobe. Social engineering is for progressives, we're not allowed.

When Bocage falls Baton Rouge falls. Drive through and look at the houses for sale.
Fortunately it's not 1980 and driving is no longer required.
There's 0 homes for sale that have been listed in the last 30 days. And only a few old listings that are overpriced.

And self defense is barely allowed in most democrat controlled places. When the leaders/police can’t or won’t fight, but refuse to allow citizens to do it themselves, there is nothing that can be done.

Giving them money is like feeding the alligators --- they stick around for more and get more aggressive.

Correct, because they believe in collective control.
Of course, then they start wanting to dismantle the security they have in place.

I was at the park yesterday, Friday, to check out pickleball. I asked why was the door locked and the BREC employee told me the story. The woman did escape but her face was bloodied, her pants were pulled off, she opened the door to the gym and screamed RAPE and collapse. It happened on a Wednesday, Aug 10. The BREC employee was still very shaken. When I went back to my car a Woman was waking down the path where the attacked occurred just two days ago. This is outrageous it wasn't reported till today and no description of the perp and shame on BREC
