Don’t forget in 80s a grad student was killed on LSU golf course walking trail. This is nothing new.

Public park, Police are public servants reports are public victims name redacted because sexual assault. All crimes should go in the UCR or the NIBRS if there is a pattern of non Reporting that could trigger the feds to show up audit if they were tipped off and who knows what they start finding this is a good thing.

“Somehow” believe lol. An entire political party campaigns on hating white people and being soft on crime and forcing “diversity” and more section 8 into white suburbs. So rub your two brain cells together and figure out why those same people would underreport crime. Which we know for a fact has often happened in cities.

My bad. When my wife went see her in the hospital she was still in shock and didn't have a working memory of the attack. She has a much better memory of the event now and gave that description to police. She passed him on the trail and they said a generic hi to each other and he doubled back to hit her on the back of the head farther down the trail. She did hit him with a krav maga elbow to the nose and bloodied his face, but that's when he commenced to beating her. Her facial swelling is going down now, has poison ivy all over from wrestling with the guy after he cut her clothes off.

Why isn’t this story getting more news coverage?

What’s the update on this story? Has BRPD ever released a description of the perp? Why is this not getting more coverage?

There was an update to the WBRZ coverage on Monday and some comments have been posted there since, but nothing really new since the original info. They say they are providing counseling to the BREC employees who she ran to, bloodied after the attack.
Really a heinous incident all the way around.
They need counseling, we need answers.

The women who walk/run and otherwise use the park were put at risk by authorities who chose not to release information for nearly two days. That is not acceptable; the apparent lack of interest is appalling.

Why does his post make him full of shite? The details seem like his wife is close to the victim and nothing he said seems far-fetched or made-up. He's been here since 2008 with 92 posts. Being full of shite doesn't add up at all.

This breaks my heart man I've been going here since I was a kid and it's a nice park near home especially with the upgrades..I went last spring. May this horrible person be brought to justice.

BREC and BRPD should be communicating with us, the public…..the news outlets should be pressing for answers…

Thanks. I've since learned that her breaking his nose is what prevented the rape. He was on top and lost his erection due to the nose breaking. She stupidly tried to attack him more out of rage and that's when she was beaten up worse.

So round up every junkie and drifter in the area and haul them down to New Orleans and leave them.

If they come back, they can disappear

Op said

This was black on black crime.

This guy said
quote:

Wife and I know the victim well. It was white on white crime actually.

The op seems to know more about the case and said black on black. If it has been confirmed that the victim was white I guess he does know the victim, if not, I'm going with full of shite.

I would rather break the assailants nose and then get beaten up than to just lay there and get raped.

While many employees may have been instructed not to inform the public; there were only a few that were at the facility at the time and day the incident occurred. Your speculation that the victim was black is not accurate at best. While the assailants race remains unknown to most of the public I can assure you that victims race is known. I would suggest you wait for further details instead of presenting this misinformation as any form of valid proof or point.

I do hope the victim’s privacy is maintained until she is ready to discuss the incident and more importantly the assailant is obtained and dealt with accordingly.

If you read through this thread you would know the crime has been reported and WBRZ already released details on the perp.

OP should have updated rather than calling this an “unsubstantiated story” for the past 5 days seeing the news article released and shared ITT. The victim described her assailant to the media as WBRZ video
quote:

5'8-5'11", around 200 lbs., BLACK, with short dreadlocks.

And apparently this wasn’t black on black crime as the OP states from reading this thread. Someone claiming to know the victim whose wife visited them in the hospital says the victim is white, so it appears this was black on white crime which could be one reason why it is getting so little coverage.

The victim was most certainly not black.
