There’s nothing in the warrant.

I'll be interested if Trump is OK with releasing the warrant. But it's looking more and more like Trump is done relative to running. He can't run for office and fight off the DOJ. It would be best for the country off he concentrated on his legal issues.

Trump's lawyer could notify the court that they are ok with unsealing both with an e-mail

they don't even have to do that... they have had both the warrant and the receipt list in their possession since Monday... at any point, they can just release it themselves... yet it still hasn't been... and you can DAMN SURE bet if it was a big dust up over nothing, both the warrant and receipt list would have come out by now...

Would the warrant even give details on the documents they were looking for?

how you figure that? if anything, i think this just solidifies it, and in fact, it speeds up the timeline, in my opinion...

warrant would list the statutes, while the receipt list would specify, more or less, what they retrieved

Yeah, but would it go into any detail about the docs? Such as "Nuclear document #1" (lol).

How did Trump remove Garland?

I thought the same thing, but somebody (I believe Laura Ingram) explained that Garland's name was still on the list of potential candidates to replace Scalia even after his first nomination was dunked by The Turtle. Trump removed him from consideration all together and nominated Gorsuch, not Garland, to replace Scalia.

you want to specifically list the stuff BEFORE it's found? that's not exactly how that works... they had probable cause to believe sensitive documents were there, but they didn't know exactly what that was... it's not like he took page 42 of the Nuclear Handbook of the US Govt, and they were looking specifically for that page...

Why would Trump not okay it being unsealed?

There will be lots of insane, illogical theories on here when/if Trump moves to stop this, but to answer your question the only logical conclusion, if he does this, is that he’s hiding something and being dishonest with his public characterization of the sequence of events. That’s it. We’ll see.

I watched a low-energy stalk of celery never leave his basement and wage a campaign in 2020.

Trump’s got 75 million votes in the bag if he runs tomorrow.

There’s no need to get all emotional and lash out with these debilitating, feminine emotions. I took no stance on where this story is going. I simply answered the OP’s hypothetical question. If you disagree with my conclusion feel free to point out your reasoning, if you are capable of engaging in rational debate. That said it seems you’re most likely a woman, and many can’t really do that so they resort to these emotions. If that’s the case, no worries- you’re probably already back to online shopping.
