We had 4300ft in River Oaks we sold in 2019. We had $800 bills back then, I can only imagine what they are now. Our new home is a tad smaller in Covington and I was ecstatic with the $3-400 bills last summer. Last bill was $563. I guess the new one will top $600. We could try less usage but someone is always home.

Got mine today. $241 for 2,150 kWh.

8 people, 7 of them at home all day, 2500 sf. Old arse house.

Turn the temp up, people.

I can tell you one thing. 2150 kWh with cleco would be $300 plus in Louisiana so get off your high horse

You’re at $153 just in fuel charges.
$177 in electricity.
Another $30 in bullshite fees.

So your cleco bill would be $360.

That’s definitely fair. I’m just gloating for myself since we saved some money compared to last month.

We don’t have a fuel surcharge somehow. Guess it’s baked into the electricity charge.

The hell I would.

That is silly. 72 in the day. 70 in the bedrooms at night.

I have the solar panels. It was 25k but the other guy was right. After tax credits, I only paid 5k.

Cleco - my last bill was 550. With solar.

2300 sf and 3000kwh. I keep it on 78 during the day and start lowering it to 70 at night but I have to start at 5 to get it there by 10pm.

Just opened my Entergy bill. $817!!!

I turned the upstairs unit to 78 and downstairs to 80. Going to try turning upstairs off and staying in downstairs bedroom. I can't pay $800 a month.

That's twice our kWh usage for the hottest month of the year. Did you check to make sure all your windows are closed?

we never used our ceiiing fans ever before, until this year. It’s amazing how many degrees higher you can put the thermostat when a ceiling fan is blowing
