'He's still not even coming!' NOPD officer stood by during French Quarter rape

The witness returned to the corner and found the victim without a pulse. The man had fled.
“He’s f***ing gone!” she said. “This f***ing cop is still a block away and this girl got raped on the street corner!”

That story is just sick and the fact they’re hiding the officer’s name that didn’t respond is absurd.

Without any incentive to hire decent officers, the only ones they are gonna get are gonna basically just show up to work to collect a check

That headline is actually kind of misleading. If you read on, you learn there were two separate units on scene 4 mins after dispatch entered the information. Like the fastest response time in history for them.
That's some pretty dramatic reporting.

it would be pretty dramatic to you too if you saw someone being stabbed or raped and when you notify an officer who is on scene, he sits in his car for 4 minutes and lets dispatch handle it
