There are three houses next to my MILs house in Southdowns that all have Jesuit signs in the yard.

They seem like good folks.

As someone who moved to Louisiana for college, it's bizarre how much people focus on where so and so went to HS.

You can tell a lot about a person from New Orleans based on what high school they attended. For example, the Mount Carmel girls were generally stuck up, the Dominican girls were generally smart, and the Cabrini girls were generally fun. Just an observation from way back in the day.

One of my post-grad running mates was a Jesuit HS guy. He was cool AF but yeah he still had that thing you mention at times, not directed at me but other people he could be an arse.

And several knew in grad school, some cool, some douchey, all had that streak. It’s funny in a dude that isn’t shite but still acts all cocky.

Do you have a sign in your yard proclaiming which HS you attended?

For those not from New Orleans, just take the above post as proof of what every non-Jesuit alum deals with. These Momma's Boys are brainwashed and indoctrinated to believe that everyone else is bitter and jealous of them -- including every graduate from every school not in New Orleans.

Thats not and never has been a rivalry.

I know a kid who is a 2023 Jesuit grad and been posting all his pics of different colleges that he’s “visiting”. In all his pics he’s wearing a Jesuit Baseball shirt.

Dude barely made the JV team

I make it a point to blackball anyone who brings up their HS in a job interview. Has worked out well so far.

Welcome back....

and you know that's not true...

Two of the oldest Catholic schools in the city...

This is from Jesuit's web page...

Since 1922 Jesuit and Holy Cross have met on the gridiron. This Great American Rivalry is the fifth oldest continuously played prep rivalry in the country. The Blue Jays lead the series, 58-40-1.

My Dad though it was the 1950s... Near the center middle row with the sweet hair! Freshman year. He actually knew Tad Gormley at this point.
