Actually I did. Hence the reason I can’t spell and I’m bad at math.

Seems it's not the school, but more the parenting. And yes, I know quite a few.

I have friends who were Jesuit grads, some think it's the be all last bastion of college prep, and some really don't give a shite. But overall, most are good people.

However, like most large HS in the NO area, there's some scumbag grads out there as well.

The reason I brought it up, I belong to a social group made up of about 90 guys, mostly from the BR area. There are 3 or 4 Jesuit grads mixed in, no one asked them where they went to HS, but they let you know.

It is a running joke that we avoid sitting at a table with one of the BJ's, because well, they usually have a way of working it into the conversation. When they do it the rest of the group always gets a laugh, the BJ's are clueless. The BJ's even have a separate meeting after so they can discuss all things Jesuit.

When the Jesuit sex scandal broke, none of them came for several meetings.

My Dad though it was the 1950s.

My grandfather was the boxing coach around that time. My dad wanted to send me to Jesuit to continue the tradition but I fought him on the idea. He did’t fight back too hard because we lived in Mandeville at the time and the commute would have been a bitch for him and my mom. My friends across the street made it work tho.

What about the Chapelle girls?

You can tell a lot about a person from New Orleans based on what high school they attended. For example, the Mount Carmel girls were generally stuck up, the Dominican girls were generally smart, and the Cabrini girls were generally fun. Just an observation from way back in the day.

You left out Ursuline, Sacred Heart, and McGehee

Overall, anyone from a Catholic League School is successful in their own way.

I know a dude from one of the Catholic League Schools that dropped out of college because he was a drug addict and has been in and out of rehab and still doesn't have a real job.

Care to elaborate on his successes?

Row bear and I have both encountered the graduates of Jesuit high school. They are full on douche bags and Jesuit graduates will admit this willingly.

Maybe his BMI was too high and he used those drugs to drown his discomfort of daily fat shaming thrust upon him. You could have helped him by educating him on the benefits of kale and protein diet…but alas, you chose to devote all your free time into the local strip mall H&R Block.
