How many named colors do we need? I say 13 tops

We have 6 in the rainbow (frick indigo).
White, black, grey, brown, tan/khaki/beige (your pick), gold (of course), and pink/magenta (again your pick).
Everything else can be described as different shades (light/dark) of the above 13 (including well-known shades like navy blue or royal purple), modifiers to describe the sheen/luster/texture, or the occasional blend of two colors listed.
I will also entertain descriptions based on universally known real materials or objects such as bronze or plum. I can also be talked into honorable mentions like maroon or burgundy or similar as they are well-known enough to be used instead of "dark red".
If you tell me something is fuchsia instead of pink or magenta I don't want to talk to you. If you ask me if I want to paint something mauve or alabaster I will fricking walk away.
I'm not colorblind, and I'm not completely indifferent about what color things are, I just can't be bothered to remember hundreds of colors when 13 will do. The language is composable, adjectives are a thing. Describe the color using the tools we have, or just show it to me.
The up/downvotes I get will determine whether I have a formal apology to deliver.

It is believed that ancient peoples didn’t “see” the color blue. Not because they were color blind, but because they didn’t have a distinct word for it and thought of it as a shade of green.
Basically, if a culture doesn’t have a word that distinguishes a color from others, then that color is seen as a shade of a color there is a name for.
It’s part of the Sapir Whorf Hypothesis.
