Is he better than Broom-aye or Teedy?

Think Teedy but Shreveport can only afford to send people to New Orleans, not Singapore

Well she drinks and drives so there’s that.

I’m busting chops, I don’t mind fuller, she is relatively moderate but she can’t win IMO.

Tarver is far from perfect but he’s not ineffectual. He’s like the devil we know, in my opinion

Tarver is probably crooked but very well connected. He and Big Ced probably cooked up this plan to keep Democrat machine rolling in Caddo. Ced bounced right back to BR when his two mayoral terms were up. Tarver has to be getting on in years though. Will be interesting for sure. Tarver might actually listen to Sheriff Prator about law enforcement.

Tarver does not like the crime going on and he hates Perkins so we have that in common.

Sounds like she may be perfect for Shreveport.

know he dropped a ton on the DAs race, not sure about mayor.

I’ve always wondered if Perkins was one of those candidates who were”auditioned” by the Democrat party, like AOC was. He won handily pretending to be a moderate newcomer, campaigning on reform and economic revitalization, and then basically checked out until he made an abysmal US Senate run after two years. It’s almost like the DNC has a formulaic astroturfing approach with the young candidates.

Ok good, I thought maybe I had missed something. Yeah she got the DWI, but owned it immediately. We all mess up from time to time.

I think she has a chance because she can appeal to different facets of the cities population. And she truly cares about this town. I actually like her FB live videos when she's walking the city and explaining how to fix things, or complaining about why some things just do not get done.

I like this dude, pro-business, pro-gun, anti-Monroe, No Limit shirt at Mayoral Forum, conservative... and obviously high as the dickens.

Perkins has been such a failure. Like many, I was fooled by his impressive resume and the things he was saying during his campaign.

He wasn't my first choice, but I voted for him because I assumed he would be the best choice out of the ones that could win.

I was horribly wrong. He has been horrid.

No idea who to vote for this time. I've heard good things about Chavez. That's about it.

Tarver or Chavez has the best chance of the remaining candidates. A lot of big money is behind Tarver.

I only ever see Arceneaux or Chavez signs.

But then again, I don't really leave SE Shreveport either.

This excuse should disqualify him from ever holding any position of authority anywhere.

#metoo

Taliferro won't be splitting the conservative vote this go round since he is running for city council. Still, a clean sweep of all conservative and independent votes only gets you 40%... maybe.

How did Hightower win? Was that before the conservative exodus to Bossier Parish?

Honestly, I think it was affluent white women who put him over the top. Then they raced to FB as fast as they could to proclaim how inclusive they were for voting for Perkins and how great he would be since he went to Harvard and West Point.

Jokes on them.

Jerry Jones was the last guy I remember having a chance to win mayor of Shreveport as a Republican. Also, wasn't Hightower a Democrat?
