Thankfully Carolina and Atlanta are in shambles
And Tampa is breaking in a new coach as well

He was in over his head as a DC until Ryan Nielsen bailed him out.
So, yes.

No. He's been with the organization for like 12 years and he's been a head coach before.

Well Morris will ride Brady’s coat tail like arians… so he just needs to worry about the defense

I think he’s certainly had enough time to learn from his stint in Oakland, but there’s no way of knowing until the season starts.
I do think we made a mistake not upgrading our offensive coordinator.

Holy shite, what?
First of all, he has NFL HC, DC, and associate HC experience galore. Second of all, he is taking over his own team and has retained the entire staff. There will be no scheme or involuntary personnel changes. There literally couldnt be a better situation for a "new" coach.

Thanks for the riveting analysis and support as to why you think he's in over his head. I can clearly see why you think that now.

After the first full contact practice? You could not at least wait until the first loss for this complete overreaction?

Still has to prove himself as a successful HC
People forget that his tenure in Oakland was horrendous.

Bill Bilichick was on maybe his third stop with patriots? Tony dungy took a couple stops. Pete Carroll? Other coaches won as legends then did nothing…Ditka, Jimmy Johnson, etc…
Nobody knows how this will go, but Denis Allen has had our defense kicking arse for years and there isn’t anyone I’d rather secede Sheahun Paytonne than him.

Yea, but most defensive coaches are

My heart tells me no, but my head is skeptical until things get proven. I don't know that the Saints could have picked a better head coach after Sean Payton considering that the franchise is in the best shape it's ever been and Allen is the natural predecessor to keep that culture moving forward.
I think the Saints are still strong and the roster is probably the best we've ever seen it.

No, he was HC before. He was under Payton for awhile. It's up to him to perform with a great coaching staff. He did build a good team in off season. The Oline was horrible. He got new left tackle and new O line coach with 2 All Pro assistant coaches.

Well yeah I mean his FIRST SEASON as headcoach of the saints and he hasn't won a game even though we have not played a game. shite fire him and fire Loomis for a lazy Hire
Not trying to be rude to anyone specifically but sit back and think of where this team is at in regards to players brought in,, how our defense has been the bright unit on the team for the last couple years, whom he coached, once Thomas was out last years our recieving core was a mash unit,, he addressed reciever twice and ee haven't played a game.
Your question sounds asinine doesn't it?

I’m confident he’s ready. He’s inhering a team that is excellent on defense (by his doing), is solid at OL and at the skill and specialist positions. He has a veteran QB with talent who is ultimately going to determine how far this team goes.
If he fails in N.O. like he did in Oakland it’s all on him.
