Happened to me this morning. Light turns green and 5-0 doesnt move. I usually give them 2-3 seconds. My hand was on the horn and I sweated it out for maybe 4-5 seconds before he noticed the light and moved. Didnt want a chicken shite ticket for showing an oblivious cop up for staring at his phone.

No reason to give him a reason to steal my money. I'll wait the extra few seconds.

I giggled a bit.

I did it to a St Slammany Deputy a few years ago. Light turned green and I could see he had his phone in front of his face. Gave em a honk and he put the phone down and got going.

No, but I once had a cop who was sitting at the red light adjacent to me, wave me through my red light after I oh so slightly went a little too far. He then pulled me over and wrote me a ticket for running a red light.

I prefer to keep my wife and dog bullet-free, so no.

Sir, you do deserve to carry this badge.

Idk why, but this is something I would do as I’ve always treated officers like normal people.
It’s like the people who are somehow scared to pass a cop on the highway. Move out my way

I've gone with the 2 quick honks at a DPS capitol dude before. He still gave me the rear view look up but at least it got the lazy bastard to move. The key is to only use half a palm like you're playing along to Mr. Tambourine Man. Don't go full cowbell, that could get ugly.

I have honked at a couple actually. They both looked in their rearview at who was honking and then went about their business. One was a short light and I had to sit through another light cycle because of his dumbass.

I usually avoid being beside a cop at a traffic light. I prefer to be aside of him. That way I can toast my beer to him. They seem to appreciate that.

I rarely notice when this happens because I’m usually reading tigerdroppings instead of looking at the road

Have you seen what the average BRPD beat cop looks like?

I just pull around them and then start vogue'ing like Madonna. They usually laugh it off but some of them will then get behind me and pull me over because they think I AM Madonna.

No but in HS, back when I was an idiot, one was going about 60 on vets without his lights on, so I sped up to follow just to see if I could get away with it. He brake checks me, swerves to the right lane, gets next to me and absolutely lays into my arse. Then speeds off again.
Haven't done that since.
