Detroit Tigers used to have a cool/interesting stadium. The new one is more generic.

I loved the Astrodome but once they got rid of the scoreboard, most of the charm of that place was gone. MMP is good, especially when the roof is open. It’s not as good as the parks in Pittsburgh or San Francisco, but it’s still a good place to watch a game and it’s definitely not a screw-up.
Other places:
The new Alex Box is sterile and uncomfortable.
Never been to the new Braves park but it would be hard for it not to be an upgrade over Turner Field, which was bland. Not a bad place to watch a game but not overwhelming, either.
Never been to either, but the consensus has been that FedEx Field was a major letdown from RFK. On the other hand, a lot of the nostalgia about old stadiums has more to do about what happened on the field than the actual fan comfort.

You are correct. Tore the scoreboard out near the end of the ‘88 season for football seats. Oilers left after ‘95 NFL season. Hope he’s rotting in hell.

New hoops stadium.
old one sold out years in a row. New bigger one only sells out a couple games.
now moved to mvc.
now their best upper class players just transferred to LSU. they are so screwed.

Yet one of your main criteria is fan interaction. The new Yankee Stadium stays packed. From the short right porch to its classic Yankee exterior this ballpark simply looks like a bigger version of what once was. Not the Birds Nest or another stadium that closely resembles a huge glass nursery.
There is much more interaction for the fans and things to do. It's beautiful, it's comfortable, it's spacious, and the sight lines are good.
Now, let's talk about some of these Holy Grail ballparks like Fenway. Oh, the tradition and that Green Monster is the bomb. Then you try to sit down at that place.
It's extremely cramped, condensed, dirty, dark, and frankly, difficult to get around.
I'll take comfort and convenience over, " once upon a time" any day.

I have no idea what you are trying to say. The Yankee fans are about as nasty and ruthless as it gets for opposing fan bases. And you certainly don't have to wait until the playoff to get downwind to it.
As far as noise level it can still get loud and does, but it's not the fish bowl the old stadium offered.

I have been to both the new and the old Yankee Stadiums. The new Yankee Stadium is great for everything except the atmosphere that you would expect to experience at a major league ballpark. Idk how to describe it. It’s just a major letdown after going to games at the old Yankee Stadium.

Tearing down old Yankee Stadium was a travesty and all who were involved in the decision should be banished to Siberia.
Also the fact that the Polo Grounds is not longer standing at least as a monument is extremely disappointing, that's my favorite athletic venue in history. Ebbets Field, Tiger Stadium, and all the other iconic old ballparks fit into this category as well.
Alex Box is also a huge disappointment.

The location of Hard Rock Stadium (Miami Gardens) isn't much worse than the Orange Bowl location (Little Havana) and parking and access are 10X better. Even now, going to a Marlins game (built on the old OB site) traffic is a ridiculous hassle and the Marlins draw less than 12,000 fans on average.
