You sound jealous. It’s okay. You can move to Texas. You won’t lose internet points.

I'll pass, thanks. If I leave Louisiana, it's for Mississippi or FL, Al beaches.

Just imagine leaving in Louisiana and thinking, one day I may move to Mississippi or Alabama. And that is something to brag about.…at the same time trying to talk shite about Texas.
I love the OT late night. Haha.

You won’t leave Louisiana and you’ll be citing your parents and gumbo for why not in five years

If you live in Texas and bought an EV you deserve whatever you get. Can’t think of many stupider decisions.

I won’t leave, and I’m citing my grandchildren. I have a second home for escaping the summer weather for short periods, but I’m not leaving the grandkids.

What's wrong with Nukes? Nukes are green. They should be building more.

Entergy says hi with 4 or 5 nuclear plants covering the large states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Of course the number is depending on if they decide to do “refueling” in the middle of the summer and shut down one of them like Grand Gulf this week. Then you have Waterford 3, which will shut down in anticipation of a hurricane or "upgrades." By all means I am a nuclear fan, but it needs to be done in a safe economical fashion, but when you build a plant, it needs to be able to run or have other nuclear units fill in to where if one is down the other steps in to provide power. The "cheap power" that nuclear can create ain't cheap when you have to depend on Natural Gas or Coal generating plants to suppliment your plants. I know for safety reasons, nuclear plants need to have multiple backup power sources to be able to shut it down in case of an emergency. Hence, the reason for Waterford 3 to shutdown for a hurricane even though Entergy is supposed to have multiple links to the power grid and onsite back up generators, and battery power to shut down the core in an emergency.
