Stop drinking caffeinated drinks every day

So you can use them when you need them. My back has been killing me lately. Nothing serious, but painful and stiff, and Tylenol and ibuprofen weren’t relieving me to the point that I could exercise a bit without making things worse.
This morning I unintentionally drank caffeinated coffee for the first time in a couple months, and just when I realized my mistake is when I realized my back was much better all of a sudden. Mood was also lifted, and I felt energetic… like you’re supposed to feel when you drink caffeine.
Being an addict is not the way to go. The drug is best used as a tool or a sometime-experience.
PSA.
Anybody else experience this pain relief effect with caffeine?

Why did you stop drinking caffeine to begin with?

Why? Huberman was just talking about this on JRE a couple of days ago. Just wait about an hour before ingesting caffeine and you should get all the same effects with no crash.

Was this the caffeine source?

I’ve never drank caffeine every day. Every now and then. Not in college. Not at work. Just get good rest and eat healthier

I am pretty sure that’s where I got the idea to stop, but a big part of my reason was that I wanted to see if it would help me sleep past 5am. I have no problem going to sleep at night, but I wake up earlier than I want to.
Whoever said wait an hour … that’s bullshite.

If I drank a fully caffeinated drink right now, I'd probably smell the fricking colors.
Ever since I cut out caffeine (outside of the occasional decaf), I find I have more consistent energy levels throughout the day and don't have a big "crash" in the afternoon after morning coffee.

Sounds crazy, but try indoor rock climbing. My back pain instantly went away.
Much thanks to the cute gal at the desk who talked me into climbing during my kids birthday party.

I don’t drink soda and coffee is rare, sugar free red bull is my vice

Or you could only drink a little bit of caffeine (like 1 cup of coffee) and caffeine never becomes an issue.
