In times past, the unproductive parasites would have died off. Now we provide for them, and they do nothing but breed and tell us how “privileged” we are.

Translation:
People, that have nothing to lose, are to stupid and/or not able to better themselves, are having as many "hide the mushroom tip" parties with as many other people as possible.
As a result, they are winning the frick trophy aggregate against people with fiscal responsibility, dreams and dedication to a single set of genitalia.

You know, I’m curious when that dam broke.
Either way, it’s true and the movie does a good job to show how the responsible ones wait til they can “afford” to have a child vs those that just have a weak pullout game.
I’m curious if the human condition has really changed that much or if we just tolerate bad decisions more in modern times, but I want to venture that the biggest difference was, back in the day, the haves made sure the have-nots knew their place and nature did what it always does, eat the weak.

The whole point of society is largely to thwart natural selection. The byproducts of this paradigm lead to unequal distributions of labor and financial outcomes by valuing different genetic traits than in the state of nature. This is something people of intelligence in middle school understand.
