If Texas left (which is a bad idea on its own), it would be stupid to take the smaller states with us. Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and other southern states are just welfare states that drag the country down.

Flexing a PhD is not really the type of flex you think it is.

I'm not from Texas, but the actual problems as you say, are in DC. If we can't trust our elections how do you suppose we fix said actual problems? Remove the cancer.

We would only be so lucky. Texas is almost going to be exclusively compromised of Illegal Immigrants and their low IQ anchor babies soon. Good riddance.

Dr. Jill Biden has entered the chat.

Texas has zero desire to “take any states with us.”
And in several states, their constitutions deem such a separation illegal.
The entire TEXIT movement is directed at Texans governing themselves.
That said, the PTB who have been working towards Texas secession for years completely support—and would willingly assist—any other state seeking to gain sovereignty from an overbearing, tyrannical fedgov.

I’m not flexing anything.
I’m answering your question.
And Jill Biden holds an EdD, not a PhD.
Wasn’t trying to be combative.
For Texas,

IMO the Union dissolved at approximately 4:00 AM Wednesday, November 4, 2020. That was the moment those fraudulent ballots dumped. That was the moment the Cabal stole the Presidency from Donald J. Trump.
A country without borders is not a country, and a country without a transparent accurate method to certify the validity of votes is not a country.
TEXIT NOW!

they know without Texas' EC delegates, they can run roughshod over the rest of the country in national elections.
And that would be the selling point in getting those other "EC states" to join them.
As if they are not running roughshod over us all now.

Not sure what you mean by that; we’ve been working on this for years.
I mean your governor had to be dragged along while Desantis and the state legislature in FL provided conservatives an example for how to push back against the madness of Covid and the political landscape post 1/6.
My statement sounded like a slam, but it’s more of a thanks for getting in the game.
Texas is now lighting the way to what the path to a real fix would look like because we can’t go on this way as a nation without half the nation being subjugated or outright violence occurring.
TX or CA leaving will lead to a larger exodus from the Union, but absent a return to real federalism I can’t see another path to a positive and stable continent.
The red states would be terrorized by an unchecked blue federal government and would also have to leave if TX decides to.
Same is true for the blue states if CA leaves.
It’s a hard truth, but one people are going to have to face at some point.

You're one of the first idiots that would be tossed out of Texas, straight on your poser arse. Maybe deported to Commiefornia.

Dang, at least take North Louisiana, except Shreveport, which we could deed to Arkansas, and New orleans.
Just take us without New Orleans.
Just take us without New Orleans.

Stay in the union and separate from DC.

Lol, what am I supposed to be posing?
Is this because I called the south "welfare country"? Texas is better than the entire south out together. Everyone knows if shite does go down, y'all are on your own. Don't come looking for a new teet to suck on, you welfare queens.

As much as I would love to deport all the California transplants the frick out, the state's economy would collapse
LOL.
Texas is sitting on an ocean of oil and natural gas, has a blue water port and a huge capacity for food production.
By itself it would be a top 10 economy in the world. With a confederation of other southern states in a pseudo EU or trade free zone and free of the current federal regulatory and political mess they would be a top 5 power globally.

Sounds like Sleepy needs to deal with these insurrectionists.

Those four states combined would make a pretty strong economy compared to many nations of the world.

You can’t compare Abbott to DeSantis.
I don’t know Florida’s structure, in terms of authority granted to elected officials; but in Texas, Governor doesn’t call the shots.
When the North sent folks to Texas to govern as governors, Texans felt these king-like people came down and ran roughshod. So when Texans wrote the Texas Constitution, they vested in the people far more power than they did in the role of Governor.
Two positions—Speaker of the Texas House and Lieutenant Governor—are arguably more important than Governor of Texas.
Compared to other states, Texas has a fairly weak executive branch. SotH and Lt. Gov. wield powers unavailable and more influential than TX governor … like the flow of legislation and the appointments of House and Senate members to legislative committees.
Don’t make the mistake of anointing Abbott with more power than he actually has.
