First gallant South Carolina nobly made the stand
and then came Alabama and took her by the hand...
I don't care about the order. I just want the band back together.

If Texas left (which is a bad idea on its own), it would be stupid to take the smaller states with us. Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and other southern states are just welfare states that drag the country down.
That's just dumb. You don't have to recognize welfare or food stamps. Cut that shite off. Send them back to the US.

Thats fine. You cant have none of our timber, limestone, coal, or iron ore and stay the frick off our beaches.
You should also take down all statues and rename the counties named after the southern boys that took Texas away from Mexico.

I swear to god, if they secede, I’m moving to Texas, if they’ll take me.

But you seem to forget that we would lose access to the 300+ million American market that we sell our products, food, and services to.
To make matters worse, we would likely get blacklisted by the EU and the rest of the western world for going renegade. Our only trade partners would Russia and China and you better believe they will take advantage of us. If you think the Welfare Queen alliance (aka the south) would be a formidable trading partner, then you really don't know much of anything. Your states currently get more federal dollars than you give. I'm not even sure Louisiana itself would be able to keep infrastructure in place with all the corruption they have.
It's a dumb idea that many of you aren't capable of completely comprehending. Many of you are taking numbers at face value without considering the implications from several different directions. Furthermore, doing all this just to silence political dissidents? It would be much easier to take back state rights as we just did by burning Roe v Wade.

Why do you keep peddling this shite?
Name checks out.
Regardless of where you stand on the actual TEXIT question, we, as Texans, should be allowed to vote on the measure.

You realize Texas has all that, and then some?

You think you have your own power grid but you are a net importer of electricity.
And dont even get me started on timber.

You're missing the point.
Each state’s constitution is written differently.
For Texas, the rationale for secession is to re-focus power/government within the borders of Texas and her people.
Other states’ citizens cannot vote on behalf of Texas secession.
As for our brother/sister states … Texas would be the best ally and advocate any of those territories had.
But our Constitution guides our state, not others’.
Here’s hoping freedom loving people across the US seek the independence, entrepreneurship, individualism, and inherent rights they deserve.

As much as I would love to deport all the California transplants the frick out, the state's economy would collapse.
The oil coming out of the permean alone would keep Texas's economy stable and self sufficient.

promise you the Dems will say, "Adios," because they know without Texas' EC delegates, they can run roughshod over the rest of the country in national elections.
You know that if Texas goes, then like 25 other states will go with them right?
And all those states just happen to make up most of the American food and energy supply....
I guess if you want to rule over a pile of ashes that would be the west coastal/Northeatern states, with no power and food.... Then by all means go ahead.

I’m genuinely interested in this post … go on.
And while you’re at it, explain to me how/why the Republic of Texas couldn’t enter into trade agreements with other countries.
Not arguing; just interested in your thoughts.

Never said this.
There are some matters most people (and even most politicians) are too stupid to comprehend and make decisions on.
You want your referendum, then seek it. But just because you can do something doesn't mean it isn't stupid.

It's a matter of who makes it cheaper, not if Texas is capable of producing those things or not (which it is). And this is why I think secession talk is fool's gold. And those falling for it are falling for Chinese propaganda.

If Texas actually left, other states would follow
others absolutely will.
Louisiana on the other hand would do a ten year study to determine if it’s worth a five year plan to potentially join them in 26 years.

I’m moving to Texas if this passes

I struggle to believe Texit would benefit the state of texas longrun.
Longhorns will really try anything they think might get them a national championship though i guess.
