You fire until there is no longer a threat. If that takes everyone emptying a mag, then so be it. Deadly force is deadly force, whether it be one bullet or a hundred.
If Walker posed a threat to cause serious bodily harm or death (pointed a firearm at anyone) or fired a shot, then the cops appear to have followed training and protocol here. Which is more than you can say for a lot of cops these days

The protocol is to fire until the threat is neutralized, not to fire until you are out of ammo. Given all the information that we know now, it was clearly a good shoot. He was going to get smoked anyway...what difference does it make if you think they fired a few rounds too many?
