A Jefferson County Circuit Judge issued a temporary ban blocking the state from enforcing an anti abortion law.
At the request of two abortion clinics.

I still don't understand how these circuit court judges are able to just take over America whenever they feel like it. Something's fricked up in the chain of command over here

The problem is that it costs them nothing. There is no risk or accountability. Nobody is removing their judgeship for "bad rulings".

Most states with "trigger" laws are seeing the same sort of injunctions.
Personally, I don't see the point. Even if successful, they just delay the inevitable until the next state legislative session.

there's the point... stay operating as long as possible... take up as many cases and make as much money as quickly as it can before the courts say 'ok this stands muster and can take effect now' and the state forcibly shuts them down

You know why.
The argument by the ACLU in KY was that Sections 1 and 2 of the KY constitution require abortion be legal.

The only thing in Section 1 would be The right of seeking and pursuing their safety and happiness. That is extremely nebulous though and I don't see it. Section 2 is basically the 14th amendment argument that was just shut down by the Supreme Court.
Even if this prevails in the short term there is a constitutional amendment on the ballot this fall to add a statement that nothing in the Constitution can be construed to support a right to an abortion which is going to pass overwhelmingly. At best they will get to continue killing babies for 4 more months.

I look for a network of leftist Federal Judges to, for as long as they can, work in conjunction with leftist legal entities to do this nationwide. Everybody should know by now the left does not accept losing and will manipulate every avenue to not take the "L"!

The clinics are not suing under federal law. The Dobbs decision has no bearing whatsoever on whether the Kentucky constitution includes a right to abortion.
