Pong at my aunt’s house. Real game, though, was probably Space Invaders in the arcade? I don’t remember 100%. Played Combat with the Atari bundle for first home console game on a 13” black & white TV.

First I remember playing is Super Mario Bros. And honestly, I'll probably make a point of making it one of the first games my future kids play. It's a fricking masterwork in a game teaching its own mechanics internally and seamlessly.

If Pong counts, that. If not, definitely Combat on Atari.

When I was a kid, the neighbors had a son who was a bit older than me and massively into computers. They got Pong when it first came out (and we would all pile up to play and watch others play, like a family in the late 40s with a new tv). That same kid eventually got a NEW TRS-80, then got a tape recorder with a very basic Star Trek game that I would play for hours.

Probably played something else first in the arcade but the first to leave an impression was Sinistar. That voice freaked me out as a 5 year old "Beware, I live!", "I hunger, coward!", "I am Sinistar!", "Run! Run! Run!", "Beware, coward!", "I hunger!"
