$191.65/sqft?
Not to mention, they are likely shite construction.

I was watching a segment on New Construction. Instead of using OSB, they now using a type of "Cardboard sheathing" for the structural Support. Similar to what they used in the late 80s early 90s. I dont know if any othe OG OT Baws Remember the "Fiber Board"
It looks like a "structural Cardboard" So these mega builders can save cost and pass that "cost" onto you.

How do you get 3 bedrooms in 1100 sf? Has to be 8x8's. Plus living in Baytown is not exactly the life.

We had 3 BR with less than that, growing up.

Based on a standard 2-car garage square footage vs the heated sq ft listed for that home, the garage is roughly half the size of the house.

Where I'm looking that house would go for upwards of 500k.

Same here , people have developed a castle complex. My favorite house I have owned was 1125 Sqft, 3br 2ba, was well designed making maximum use of every sq ft. never felt small.

While I have no doubt they are that is hard to discern from a render.

You serious, Clark?
That would have been a dream scenario in the 60s

no BS.
Although I'm seeing A LOT of price reductions on realtor.com lately. And not 1-2k. I'm talking anywhere from 10-30k on some houses.

Low cost and Baytown is a terrible combo.
Baytown is horrendous and East Houston is worse. You have to drive across Houston to get anywhere decent.

1,100 SF is a large garage.

my first house was a 4 bedroom 1.5 bath at 1200 sq feet. no garage, but it was a perfect starter home that maximized the space. it would have been fine to have raised 2 young kids in, but we would have outgrown it by now.
