I was watching SportsCenter on ESPN this morning until…….

They decided to plaster the Roe vs Wade decision all over the screen and sympathize with all of the pro-choice protesters. They then immediately asked Megan Rapinoe for her opinion on the matter and then cut to a segment of her 9-minute interview on the matter. I immediately turned that heaping pile of garbage off.

Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer entertainment outlets that can be used as an escape from politics. ESPN gets worse by the day, sadly. I have times where I try to avoid all of the news/politics/politically correct stuff because it becomes so depressing, but it still seems to be there everywhere I turn.
ESPN with the stuff already mentioned.
You open up a streaming service and boom “SHOWS FOR PRIDE MONTH” is the first thing on the home page.
Try to follow mostly non-political pages on social media, they all feel the need to express “solidarity” over the Supreme Court’s decision.
It’s hard to find an escape other than just going outside and avoiding screens all together.

I don’t think Sportscenter is the place for politics but then again, posters drop their politics into every thread on this board whether the thread had anything to do with politics so, who are we to judge?

Non-game programming for ESPN has been hard to watch for many years. Even game broadcasts can be a challenge with the personalties, promotions and types of commercials. They've gone so far into politics and show no signs of stopping.

Rapinoe is one of the most dislikable “celebrity. And not because I disagree with everything she says. She’s an insufferable hypocrite.
