Durant does not want to be a Laker, and the Lakers don't have the assets to get him.

Kyrie does want to be a Laker. I can envision a situation where the Lakers sent out the 2027 and 2029 firsts with Westbrook to get him. Sadly for us, I think it's possible.

Westbrook likely ends back up in OKC…

They serve as a perfect 3rd team in a trade…

Everyone is happy in that situation

Maybe next years swap, but I think this improves the 24/25 unprotected pick.

I think getting Kyrie raises their floor this season on the swap but potentially fricks them on 24 or 25, when we own their pick outright.

Lakers use their TPMLE on Lonnie Walker. Walker is a good player and makes lakers rotation better, but i’m a little surprised. They need 3 pt shooting and length and Walker doesn’t provide either.

Indeed. If Damian Jones, Lonnie Walker IV and Tony Brown Jr are it the roster just isn’t good enough to do any better than the play-in, and if Davis or Lebron miss significant time it’s straight lottery time again.

Turning Westbrook into a Kyrie or Durant obviously changes that forecast.

He's really not. He's got substantially negative ratings in both RAPTOR and LEBRON. There's a reason that the Spurs let him go -- not a good defender.

3 Klutch players signed to the Lakers in the first few hours. Wild coincidence.

How many of them would have gotten more elsewhere?
