Walker is the definition of a “meh” player. He doesn’t move the needle. He’s not bad, but he’s not good either. If anything he will be asked to play a role that is too big for him.

I'm calling it now:

After the first earthquake he experiences in L.A., Kyrie is going to fear that California will break off the edge of the earth and fall off. He'll then refuse to play in the state of California.

LAL roster:
Troy Brown Jr.
Anthony Davis
Wenyen Gabriel
Talen Horton-Tucker
LeBron James
Stanley Johnson
Damian Jones
Kendrick Nunn
Austin Reaves
Lonnie Walker IV
Russell Westbrook
4 roster spots to fill. Minimum Exception is all they have left. 1 spot will go to Max Christie.

Add Juan Tuscany Anderson to that, so they have 2 spots left.

They don’t have shite for a starting 5, and no depth at PG

Fair enough. Good player is of course relative. For the lakers he’s a live body that can play and give them functional minutes.

If Walker joined the pelicans he’d struggle to see the court absent injuries.

No depth at PG? Well yeah, but that's because they're going to get Kyrie.

If the Lakers trade Westbrook for Kyrie, then they will get another player back in that deal in addition to Kyrie.

I don’t see Kyrie making that much of a difference for them, could be wrong never know with that headcase

They're getting younger but bringing in worse shooters.

That’s a bottom 10 roster in terms of size, 3 pt shooting, defense and depth. It’s Kyrie or Lottery for the 2022-23 lakers.

LeBron loves to complain about people putting shite rosters around him.

He made his own bed here.

take lebron and AD out and every single player on that list is a negative on defense and 3pt shooting. Hilariously the very worst at those 2 things is the guy they just spent their only meaningful salary slot on.

And Monk is on the Kings now lol.

I do think the Lakers eventually get Kyrie though. Westbrook and 2 firsts for Kyrie. I can see it.

Makes them more dangerous, but they still could implode with that setup as well. And they would be completely out of picks which is nice.

Getting Kyrie doesn’t fix defense or give them a big.

But that would also open up more cap space right?
