Hard to know 100%.

BUT.

Current word is that Washington is looking to flip KCP and they are interested in moving up from 10 to 8.

Dieng’s likely still on the board at 10.

Look, Ive said all along draft Mathurin/Daniel/Sharpe at 8. If you trade down to 10 with Washington, Sochan or Dieng will be there. Nobody knows anything for sure man, but Dieng at 8 seems like a reach and im not the only one that thinks that.

I would still worry about the Spurs taking him at 9

But how could you know that we could get off Graham's contract in such a trade down?

Difference between contracts is that Graham has as much guaranteed money but it is $11m this year and about $3.5m next season.

KCP is $14m this season.

Not sure if he'll be there at 12. Pels really like him and he's being mocked to the spurs at 9 a lot now.

Check the Vegas lines, one book has him at o/u 11.5

If yiu think he will go 11 or sooner, you can make some money

I won't melt but I don't really want Dieng.

Much prefer Sochan.

One of Daniels, Mathurin or Sharpe should be there. I like them in that order. Don’t really want Sharpe but he will be the best talent that’s left so you pull the trigger.

Like I said he could be very valuable down the line if a star player comes available we want. He’s the type player that could be the centerpiece of the trade.

It was speculated by one person. That does not mean it is a given that you can trade down and get off of Graham's contract.

KCP is available.

Washington needs a point.

Graham’s deal is the same amount of money guaranteed but about $4m is on next season’s (23-24) cap.

Is it a definite? No. But it matches what Washington is trying to do as far as personnel and moving up in the draft without taking on extra money.

Again, nothing but speculation. Tough for us to judge the Pels if they take Dieng at 8 and say that the Pels should simply trade down with Wash and unload Graham's contract instead.

Yes, it is speculation. But based on the available info, it appears feasible.

Can’t get tied up too much of this kind of thing but, by the same token, tonight is supposed to be one of the more trade-heavy drafts in recent memory. Which means it is reasonable to game plan the skeleton of a feasible trade.

I’m not going “Steph for #8 and Temple” here.

I don't understand the fit with our team, especially our best players. He is a PF. Our best player is a PF. Can they play together?

I can kind of understand Sochan, as he can somewhat slide to C and play along side Zion. But if we are going to do that, why not grab the best Center in the draft (Duren)? A guy that can play beside Zion and cover for him defensively.

I don't understand Dieng or Daniels for this reason. They are back ups and, barring injury, would never play major minutes for us..

Fit on the current team shouldn't be a huge factor. The team will be different in 3 years.

Why do you think he is only a PF? I have heard most speculate he could be a wing.

At this stage I don't think you entertain him being anything other than a wing. One of my negatives (which really isn't a negative) on him right now is that he defends better when he slides down, not up.

Its Brmark.

I don't know a single draft profile that refers to him as a Power Forward. Because he isn't one.

He's a SF. I just went and looked at 5 different websites and all have him referred to as either a SF, Wing, or just Forward, and virtually all comparisons are to players that are SFs.
