I find it decreases because the part of my brain to remember spelling is having to remember weird arse new names which really shouldn’t exist.

My spelling ability has absolutely gone to shite. I have noticed a slow but steady decline in my ability to spell. If course, I noticed the same thing in ability to do arithmetic in my head with the advent of calculators.

There needs to be a penalty for misspelling. The autocorrect is a reward and offers no incentive to learn correct spelling.

Most errors are I feel are from fat fingering but there are a few that suck at spelling.
